Weight 116.6, calories 885. Back to the middle of my comfortable range! It's been 2 weeks since I was here, so I'd like to spend some time here and not get back up again. But I do have a question: do you think some of us tend to be a bit heavier when it is humid (hold more water)? It has been more humid lately but it dropped yesterday and was cooler last night than it had been for a couple of weeks.
We enjoyed walking the dogs yesterday and may finish up our training tomorrow. I walked a big bruiser (sweet pit bull but strong), a lovely 5 month red hair retriever mix (just wanted love) and Pebbles. Pebbles had intrigued me because she seems sweet and is only about 6 pounds (chihuahua). But she almost seemed meek. She would hardly walk at all, just wanted to roll around or be carried. She was spayed a couple of days ago so maybe that was still bothering her or maybe she didn't like the sweater on her. I'll have to check her tomorrow.
This afternoon we go to Venice beach with 2 other couples. Beach sitting, walking and fishing off the pier are on the agenda for the afternoon, then an early dinner at the outside restaurant on the beach.
Have a super Saturday!

Good morning,
Working out this morning. I think I will be in town all weekend. There is an arctic-something blowing in with lots of rain and eventual freezing temps and maybe snow to sea level. WE ARE ALL EXCITED.
Yesterday the clinic received a refill request for a colonscopy prep. The person wouldn't need another colonoscopy for a decade. The message came to me from the MD who simply said "please address."
I called the peep and she explained she rather enjoyed the cleanse and would like to be able to do it again when she felt the need. Her sentiments would fit in with our forum tribe, but I kept that to myself didn't even ask if she lost weight with it. Request denied, of course.
Liz, I agree with Cecily -- your cushions exude happiness. Well done.
Peace and Hope,
Shel

We get interesting requests routinely but this was the first time for this. Stopped everyone in their tracks as we considered the whole picture. She liked the "medical purity" of a prescription product. People have funny brains.
The mountains are already getting dumped on so that is good news. Passes are treacherous for now.

Happy long weekend ! We're going out to dinner tonight for a combination birthday & Valentine's dinner. Many of our favorite restaurants in this summer resort town close from Christmas to this weekend, so it is nice to see things begin to open back up.
We had sad news at puppy class this morning. The spaniel terrier mix with aggression and guarding issues attacked and seriously bit his owner, then hours later the vet on Wednesday, and was euthanized. Sad ending for a five month old who apparently was the result of some irresponsible breeding. The owner did her best to get early intervention through training, and brought her dog to the vet after the first bite, for advice and medication, as the dog remained highly agitated and hyper vigilant after the initial bite. After the dog attached and seriously bit the vet, the vet indicated the dog had suffered a complete break down.
Hug your pets and your loved ones !

Oh, yes hugs for all. Poor owner and vet, too. It sounds like puppy didn't have a chance even under the best of cir****tances.
I'm curious about the irresponsible breeding comment. Spainels and terriers aren't to be mixed or rather one or both parents had poor temperament? (I have been learning a lot about dogs from your postings!)
