You are doing great on the dedication to dropping some weight. I need to regain focus like you!

Good, good show!
Gorgeous sweets. And look at all those great veggies! I could have gotten at least 4 V/F servings checked off if I'd been there. LOL!

Seven hours of sleep last night. Right direction!
The karmic disconnection between today's lower weight and yesterday's higher calories is that, despite greasy chicken casserole and cheesecake served at yesterday's luncheon to benefit our hospital's cardiac services (Cheesecake? Really!?) and a cup of French vanilla ice cream at bedtime, I weighed this morning at 5 am instead of 2 am, my recent time to crawl out of bed.
Yesterday's 5 servings of V/Fs came from spinach, beets, carrots, mushrooms, kale, bamboo shoots and blueberries.
The Saturday morning yoga class was actually OK. The class was themed "NamaSlay" (as in "slaying with yoga"), but could and maybe should have been called "DJ Yoga." Although the music wasn't all rap, the track was very current. Odd, but not awful. And the teacher was OK, not great, but not awful either. The first half of the class was vinyasa style; the second half was more stretching. And yes, I would do the class again. Bottom line, some effort was made, and a little risk was taken and survived.
Yesterday's luncheon outing was less painful, but not as enjoyable as I'd hoped. The day's bigger excitement came from trying to figure out how to air up low tires on my husband's truck.
Today I'll make phone calls notifying relatives and friends of the location and details of next Saturday's memorial service, read my book club selection, and take a long bubble bath.
Today's theme: All I have to do today is what I have to do today.

Weight 166.6 (carb gain, I think)
Not much going on here today. Yesterday was an outing with my book club to the international printing museum (a grand name for what it was, but it was still interesting!) and lunch at a strange German restaurant that actually did have some amazing fried German potatoes. Not a healthy choice, but a delicious one nevertheless.
I seemed to have hurt my foot on my last hike, so I'm taking it easy for a few days. And I can't show you my last painting because not thinking, I acccidentally left it in the back of my car, then forgetting it was there threw my Pilates mat back there where it rolled back and forth through the wet paint for a few days. What a mess!! I think I got it all out of the carpet, but my mat is colorful to say the least. The painting, alas, is no more.
Happy Sunday all!
Greetings Sunday Celebrators
Ah Sunday. It used to have such meaning when I had a real job. Lazy day with the big newspaper and cooking something time consuming. Now its just another day except the banks are closed.
I am not happy about my weight. 147.5. Yesterday I was quite a bit more active including walking to a lot of errands and unloading two bisque kilns at the studio. Unloading and carrying about 200 items to shelves 30 feet away added up to a mile of steps. Who knew? I didn't eat anything horrible except probably too many almonds. Gee, I guess losing a couple of pounds will take more than 24 hours. Unfortunately, after the extra walking my hip joints really hurt and I had to come home and take advil.
Hey BB, we are so glad you liked the gifts. Its been such a pleasure sharing your baby journey. Can't wait for arrival. And the showers look wonderful. Glad you had a good time.
Liz, like Paula I am amazed they have 5 hours of dog walk training. But I guess it shows they really care about the animals and want things done safely. Safe for the volunteers too. I took a load of old towels to an animal rescue place yesterday and they were thrilled to get them.
Paula glad you are doing well on Cymbalta and that you are indeed a good model of self care. Congrats on dropping a few lb.
Ann glad to hear the lunch thing went ok and I hope that means you were not assaulted by too many well intending fools. And yeah, cheesecake??!! The number one artery clogging food I bet. I think I have posted before that when I was at Mayo clinic with my brother, the hot food cafeteria was nothing but fried stuff with gravy and I could not even find a soup I could eat. I had to bring my own food in and the staff kept trying to bring me lunches I could not eat.
Hey, Happy birthday Momsey! And Dave, let us know how you are doing.
Well todays mission is to finish and file some taxes and try to keep moving more and eat fewer almonds.
Shel, hang gliding is to me a spectator sport. I used to do the hang gliding program on our X box and could not go more than about 15 seconds without crashing. Even on the horse jumping program I used to crash the horse into the jumps. Ditto skiing.
Well have a super Sunday all. Coffee awaits. Diane S
