Hey, the Bigfoot Museum is in Willow Creek, near here. See the movie "Willow Creek:. And they have the national Bigfoot Conference there every year. And the famous Bobo lives here. I have seen him at the airport! Bigfoot is HERE I tell you. DS

My daughter has been hospitalized with what the doctors thought could be the flu. This would have been disastrous, but luckily she did not have it, is feeling better and is being discharged today. I stayed away from her while I was sick. I tested negative for the flu but was treated the same. I had bronchitis and a viral infection that walloped me for a week and a half. Yesterday was my first day back to somewhat normal. I gained around 10 lbs while sick. Thank God I had just lost weight or the number could've really messed more with my head. I told myself it was probably fluid retention, told myself to just keep swimmin and now 8 of the 10 is gone. Stupid fluids.

My eating totally changed while sick even though I didn't have the stomach issues that most people have had. Yesterday, I couldn't even look at my packed lunch and went downstairs to the café. I got a piece of grilled chicken and plain veggies. One of my handsome male friends got in line after I ordered and complimented me on my food choice (bonus). And I have lots of leftovers for my lunch today. Hopefully tomorrow I can get back to my packed lunch. Today was the first time I was able to get back to my favorite green smoothie that I learned on vacation.

Stay healthy.

Oh, one more thing -- I dressed in a hurry this morning and noticed in the full-length mirror at work that I was wearing my grandson's long-sleeved T-shirt. It is the same color as mine, but my shirt is fancier, more professional for work. How funny, though?! I am wearing my 10-year-old GRANDSON'S shirt! The fit is so good that I did not notice that it wasn't my shirt.

Tee Hee, love the shirt story! (at least it was not what I did which was go around with two different shoes on). ds

Hi All! I made sure I posted right after dinner, as I get busy, then become a couch potato and just head up to bed. Nothing much to report. Both the IF and food boundaries and portions have been good, with not much more hunger or cravings than usual. Still not weighing, though my physical is only 6 days away. Clothes are loser and my jaw feels bony, without much padding, so I feel like I've lost some weight.

I read the OH article on IF, which was interesting. they made some good points on both sides. I was glad to see that the method I chose for IF was mentioned as having some value.

Liz, I'm definitely an Olympics fan and will be watching too!

Diane O, I hope your skiing trek was fun!

Cecily, I hope you dad's results come back good. Your hike sound grueling, but you must have had such a sense of accomplishment!

Ann, so glad your car battery got taken care of so easily and quickly. I'm not a fan of bleu cheese, but the pear sounds heavenly!

Bonnie, good luck at the doc's!

Joey, so glad your DD didn't have the flu. Loved the t-shirt story!

Paula, keeping fingers crossed that Ben's test results are good. So glad you clicked with your therapist!

Diane S, I too used to burn the candle at both ends - still do occasionally. It really does take it's toll. I know I crave comfort carbs more when I've had little sleep.

Devon, thinking of you - try to slow down and stay in the moment as Diane said!

Hugs to everyone. So glad you're all here! Mary
