Weight 117.2, calories 587. My intestines were not happy yesterday, hence the low calories but I need some low days anyway. Today we are going out to lunch at a Mexican place and have a ****tail hour with our HOA group. I'm good on the latter (am making ****tail shrimp which will be my dinner), but unsure as to what to have at the Mexican place. Maybe fajitas?
The Olympics start tonight. I wonder if we will watch them much? Weird watching skating, skiing, etc when it is 80 degrees.
Have a thoughtful Thursday!

Good Morning ! Cecily, so glad your dad's results look clean ! Paula, glad you clicked with your therapist... she sounds perfect ! Keep setting solid priorities and everything else will fall into place ! Devon... even as a retired person minus school...I could never maintain your schedule and so little sleep. My mind just vibrates with the enormity of the activity. I need much more "still...in the moment" time. Do I /did I always get it ... no, but that's when things begin to run amuck for me. In some of the most stressful times of my career, concurrent with the most stressful times of what was in reality single parenting, I was super morbidly obese. No coincidence !
First order of business is cleaning and refilling the pellet stove in the downstairs family room, followed closely by scrubbing down two litter boxes. Those chores behind me, I'll be off to cross country ski !

Pleased with myself for getting lower in my range this week. And doing it eating between 1700 and 2200 calories no less! Another fun painting class last night, but I need some practice on color mixing. I'm going to play around with that this week.
Well right after I posted yesterday, I heard dripping coming from my refrigerator ice dispenser. I'm guessing the compressor died? So the freezer was up to 30. Nothing had defrosted yet, so I transferred everything from the fridge/freezer to the garage fridge I bought a month ago. That isn't looking like such a silly purchase now! The repair guy is coming this afternoon. I suppose 13 years of use isn't a bad run.
This morning I'm hiking with the uber fast fitness hikers. (you have to be able to do at least 16 min mile on rocky, hilly terrain.) I'm tired just thinking about it! But it's good for me.
Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for my Dad's tests today. The number one concern is the scan for any lymph node regrowth or signs of cancer outside of his bladder. They've said if it spreads again there is nothing they can do. Second is the look in the bladder itself, which if they find anything they can keep biopsying and doing the BCG treatments for, so unpleasant, but doable. I know how nervous I get for these quarterly tests. I can only imagine what it's like when it's you they are testing.
Here's to a good day full of good news for everyone today!

Thank you, Paula!
Oh my gosh the hike this morning was SO HARD. Just under 9 miles, hot sun, hot temps, hills that were basically scrambling up rocks and having to scoot downhill on our rears to not fall. I am totally wiped out with blistered toes, a headache and a sore foot arch! Everyone was dragging back to the car. I'm glad I did it, because I didn't chicken out or pass out , but I'm totally exhausted.
Wow! You have more energy than I do. I shopped today...

I'm glad to hear you did it, Cecily. And that you're home safe.
It's those kinds of stretch-experiences that I look back on and am so very glad I did them.
Respect!

Well.....eek! Truly a memory maker ;) (My memory maker comments throws DD into extreme eye rolling)
What time do you start in the morning?
Also, curious what kind of hikers you wear.
I just ordered some hiking shoes (vs boots) because they were on sale and I HAD A COUPON! (That makes it ok, right?). I plan on doing some hiking around Vegas and thought they might be cooler than my usual summer boots. I can easily return if they don't fit (Typically, I never, ever buy shoes I haven't tried on so).
So, curious what you lizards wear.
And, were you too busy suffering to get pics?
