Still only 5.5 hours of sleep. Not happy about that.
Schools are closed today due to last night's light ice storm, so pool will be closed, too. This morning I'll do yoga at home and this afternoon walk in town.
Today's theme: "Now I lay me down to sleep ...." (Socrates didn't say that either. My mother did.)

Ann, maybe a nap will fit in today for you?
The sofa and loveseat cushions are being dropped off this morning to be recovered. The new fabric will change the look of the room completely. Other scheduled tasks happening soon (early March) are installation of garage screens (to pull more air and light into the villa when the garage door is open) and a tubular skylight to brighten up the great room (LR, DR, kitchen). Originally I was going to paint to brighten it up, but realized that getting rid of the dark cushion fabric (which I hate and no good wall color would coordinate with) and bringing in more natural light was more important at this point. Painting and possibly new countertops all around will wait until another year.
I will take a before picture of the furniture today, then another one when they come back in a week or so.
Have a worldly Wednesday!

Good morning ! Weight jumped up two pounds, which still feels like a kick in the gut. I added sea salt to a small bowl of popcorn yesterday, so I realistically KNOW it is a blip. I have hair/nail appointment this morning, in the midst of a snow storm. Luckily, I only have to travel a mile.
I have a crock pot of chicken soup with rice simmering. I'm looking forward to lots of shoveling and I have to get all of my tax paperwork lined up for the accountant Saturday. It is my first partial year retired and I'm concerned that my vacation payout and all of that consulting wasn't sufficiently calculated into my withholding. I'll finalize my April San Diego reservations once I know if I have mad money.
Have a fabulous day !

Sounds like everyone has some inclement weather. We dodged that bullet. I am slightly sad about no snow thus far. We've definitely had the temperature range for it!! I don't think I could live in California or Florida with all their nice weather! It's those cold biting days that make the windy-chilly-rainy March days feel sublime. And slowly those muddy-windy days turn into warm windy (wind is a theme here, hehe) April and May days with cool nights. By the time August hits, you'll be begging for that first exciting nip in the air.
Maybe my theme today is: To everything (turn, turn, turn) there is a season (turn, turn, turn)
Something that will take on a little less-literal meaning for me in the next few months. Again, I'm trying to be PRESENT.
Yesterday I woke up with a sore throat and I knew that was no good. I considered maybe reflux. I did better as the day progressed, but then last night I was up and down up and down. Chloroseptic and lozenges are my besties. Sore throat is always the first sign for me. Unfortunately not sure there's much I can do besides ride it out. Luckily I think it's just cold and not flu.
I have a big weekend coming up and I do not want to get sick!! I bit the bullet and scheduled maternity photos for Friday afternoon, then Friday evening the hubs and I are going to a charity ball. Saturday is my shower and Sunday we have a friend's birthday brunch.
Weight: 188.6. Steady for now.

New beds have always been very exciting to me! Enjoy yours, David.

What kind did you get? I'm thinking of replacing the one here with memory foam.
