Weight 118.6, calories 1153. Yikes! Super Bowl indiscretions are definitely here now. I do seem to have a 2 day delay now for full appearance after big eating days. Though I know some of this will be resolved in the bathroom, not all of it will. Before Florida I was hovering near the bottom of my range, now I am hovering near the top (or above like today). Time to get serious! Part of it is having wine too often which though I track always brings my total calories up.

Anyway, it is a sunny day and I think we are going to the beach. Today is the one year anniversary of owning our villa. Have a tremendous Tuesday.

Good morning!

Still tracking in MFP. When I was recovering from my recent bug, I decreased my gym workouts slightly and found my muscle tenderness vanished. So, I am deliberately decreasing by one a week but I feel guilty about skipping when I could have gone. Nonsensical, especially when I still get a walk in.

Wow was I triggered yesterday. There were a couple of undone tasks that had gone on way too long. I don't know what it is about aged armpit tasks that make it hard to 1) face them and 2) stay away from the kitchen. They weren't even hard tasks. While I was at it, I took care of returns to various places which felt great.

Hug that skinny!

Shel

Another snow storm headed in tomorrow. I started planning my trip to see my oldest DD in CA. I preferred Redondo Beach over Santa Monica, but I'm looking into San Diego this time. DD takes a mini vacation and joins me at the beach. I wouldn't mind skipping the LAX experience this time !

Yesterday was DH's birthday. We ate in, and I bought a mini carrot cake, his favorite. Fortunately, I couldn't get it at our favorite place so the lure was greatly diminished. I am grateful that I have begun to pick apart desserts and savor the tastes or decide it's not really worth it. I can clearly remember inhaling desserts and then "cleaning up around the edges", never recalling a single bite. Being healthy is certainly a process.

Paula, we're eager to hear how your appointment goes. Ann & Liz... Hope that restorative sleep is finding both of you ! Let's all be vigilant about avoiding the flu !

I had a couple of conferences in San Diego over the last couple of years. I really enjoyed it. That sun is going to feel good!!!!

Besides the beach, the zoo is an excellent walking experience.

No wt. At the house working.

As for rockers. I guess I am off my rocker so to speak because am a bit of a nut about them. We rock Adalyn in an extra short lazy boy we got at an estate sale for $40. I make Adirondack style gliders for outside. I built a couple out of maple but we do not like to leave them out. That is what we rock in when we are in the shop. I plan to make a Maloof style rocker some day. A real Maloof is worth thousands. I don't want to make a hundred of them but making one is on my bucket list.

I made a chocolate meirange birthday pie for my FIL this morning. I will take it later on today

I have a cup of coffee in the small shop. I better get it and start building a baseboard drying rack.

More later, David

David, please open a restaurant that serves chocolate pie and coffee to customers sitting in rockers. I suppose you would get in trouble if you had babies to pass around but I bet you could substitute puppies and kittens instead. I would like to call it Hooters but I suppose that name is firmly taken.

(It occurs to me that some of you don't know that David is a master hooter, as in calling owls kind of hooter)

I called to an owl the other night. I thought if you could hear hoot back you would laugh.

Hey, I may have posted this before but there are actually professional owl hooters around here. They are registered foresters. If you want to log your property you first have to make sure no endangered spotted owls are nesting there. So an owl hooter comes in and hoots. If they get an answer they put out a mouse. If the owl comes and eats the mouse on the spot, it is non nesting. If it carries the mouse away then it is nesting and you can't get a logging plan approved to chop trees down. Who knew? So Dave, you are part of a noble profession. DS (who doesn't give a hoot) LOL
