I'm sure the encounter was a memory maker but I agree with Paula that she likely kept the ring!

Good morning! We have a busy day ahead, so I thought I'd post early. I slept until almost 9, which is very unusual for me. I'm usually up around 6 on the weekends (earlier M-F). Going to friends to watch the Super Bowl, so after church, I need to come home and make my chicken and cheese dip that everyone loves. It's low carb, but definitely not low in calories or fat, so it is a special occasion recipe. I'm making a 1/2 batch, as there's only 5 or 6 of us, as I don't want lots of leftovers.
I did get one friend request on FB last night, but will check this morning. Liz, there are lots of battery operated small lights available. Some hook to clips and some have a sticky back.
Dave, wow, all those falls without an injury? Amazing. Glad you're being more careful now!
Ann, thanks for the link for Del's obit. It was beautiful! And I agree with everyone that he was a very handsome and sexy looking man!!
Have a great Sunday. Go Pats! Hugs, Mary
I just need to find one that stays on all night (all the ones I've tried so far have an automatic time-out or are motion activated - probably to conserve battery power). I need to read the information more carefully!

We've had some in the past that you could turn on and off, either by turning the top part of the light, as switch, or a pull cord. As far as I can remember, they stayed on until you shut them off. Walmart, home Depot, etc. would most likely have them. I think many are disposable, though I'm sure there must be some that you can change the batteries. Good luck!
You are going to laugh: The one I already had will stay on if the switch is in a different position! I don't know why I didn't check that before.

Not laughing at you here.
I just discovered that the reason my living room satellite / TV hasn't worked for the last three weeks is because somehow the remote had gotten switched from SAT to God knows what else. BAM! TV works again.
Right now I feel like a genius. :)

Greetings Super Bowl Fans
My idea of a super bowl is a large one filled with cheese dip. 145 today. I ate a lot yesterday - found DH's stash of macadamia nuts. He continues to do well on Atkins. I asked him his calorie intake. Its 1200 to 1300 per day. Yikes, I maintain at 1300 to 1400! But at least its easy to cook for us both now.
Well way out here on the left coast we don't have much invested in either super bowl team. I guess we will go for the Eagles as underdog. I will make some chicken soup for me and guest. If the game is bad we will watch the puppy bowl. They have been having some cute segments on Animal Planet about the puppy training camp and such.
Liz I hope you can find a good light. Maybe a rechargeable one. I will ask my DH as he is king of electronic devices. Sorry your sleep is disrupted.
Hey Dave, how fun to watch your daughters become mothers. I bet DD2 will catch on soon enough. Talk about your on the job learning. And hey, be careful on the falling. I also have two left feet and really watch it.
Yeah, I agree some people post too much on FB and thats why I have never gotten into it. But I do like to see pictures of kids and pets and see whats up. And keep up with my one niece and her little boy.
I have never heard of Hot Topic. Shel, you were in Omaha? Thats where I used to live. Now I will have to find Hot Topic when I am in some city. None here. I sure hope you get to snowshoe Shel. Around here it would be "mud shoe".
Today is our 28th wedding anniversary. DH brought flowers and a bit of chocolate yesterday. We decided to just put off our dinner out for a week since its the bowl game and he can't drive right now. But I think I will keep him.
Ann, here is hoping the memorial goes well and the difficult person stays away. What a sad issue to have on top of everything else.
Yay Devon, a grooming free day. A friend of mine shows Pharaoh hounds because they require so little grooming. Why did we get these heavily groomed terriers?
Full moon Diane O? I had no idea how that impacted dogs. Cosmic.
Well, lest I start posting about my every sneeze and itch, I think I will get more coffee. Have a great day all. Diane S
Happy Anniversary! Glad the 2nd eye surgery recovery has gone well. And, also glad that Atkins is working so well. You've got yourself a refurbished DH! Fancy.
My parents still live in my hometown, a teensy town in IA about 30 miles from Council Bluffs. You know my mom loves my DD because she is willing to cross the bridge into Omaha to get to bigger malls.
