I just sent you a friend request! You went to Suffolk University? SIL graduated from there an DH went to law school there.

Hi Guys,
Worked out early and have been running errands since. DD was in a contest thing today both as solo violinist and in a quintet. Did great. I sat in on a guitar-violin duet that was extraordinary. Kids these days! What talent. As I watched, it occurred to me that I want DD to marry the guitar player. Is that too much to expect? She told me later that she held the door for him at one point and he made eye contact with her and said "Thank You" with great emotion. See how right I am? I didn't tell DD this. I'll tell the story when I toast their wedding.
More snowshoe drama -- you don't need to know all the details but tomorrow's planned REI group was an error, it will be next Sunday instead. That is aok, there is rain in the mountains so maybe next weekend will bring more appropriate weather. Plus, they are giving me a 20% coupon for the confusion. Maybe this is an evil corporate plot to coerce me to spend even more money tho I want for nothing.
I am still logging with MFP. This being more mindful stuff is cutting into my enjoyment of grocery store samples, darn it. I am more structured in food prep for the week which reduces my grocery bill. On tap for next week: chicken breast made this weekend via sous vide, plus I have a bunch of greens/salad ingredients chopped and ready for assembly.
I have also faced the fact that I overeat yogurt if I am scooping out stock container . Simply more than I need. Using little bowls doesn't help because I just refill them. I picked up a bunch of single servings at WF, Fage is 10/10 right now. I won't open 2 containers for some reason.
What a self-centered post. Sorry about that. C, love the lego village. LOVE LOVE LOVE. DianeS, you will find I post almost nothing on Facebook. I am a Facebook stalker. Dave, there was a story in NYT about a baby rocker and I expected to see a picture of you when I clicked on the link. I was sorely disappointed. Devon, enjoying your musings, as always. Liz, your dealings with you DH inspire me to be a better person. DianeO, your zen is infectious. Mary, so glad to see your shiny font again! Apologies to anyone I am forgetting in my haste.
Hug your skinny. Peace and hope!
Shel

Shel, There has often someone I wanted DDs or DS to end up marrying, but it hasn't happened so far. In fact I think if I ever told them I could guarantee it wouldn't happen!
In a way I'm not surprised that your snowshoe hike isn't today - it seems like the ONLY things scheduled today are around the SuperBowl (even though it doesn't start until late afternoon/early evening). I'm watching because of the Patriots, but I'm not even close to a football fanatic so it makes me chuckle.

On the go kind of day for us. We went to Bangor, as the younger DH wanted to go to some junky teen store called Hot Topic. Met up with older DD. DH took younger DD and friend to the junky store, and I got to go and pay for older DD's oil and filter change, car wash, and gas! It was nice to see her though, so I really didn't mind. :) The younger one is staying at a friend's, so DH and I went to dinner and grocery shopping.
I continue to read info on IF. There is an article in the Journal of Mid-Life Health about IF for women over 50, and it had positive results for losing belly fat. The article also said that it can help with prevention of some diseases. Today I've had two meals only, and didn't overeat. I'm still feeling full from dinner and it's more than an hour after my eating window closed. Still taking it one day at a time, and wanting to continue researching.
Have a wonderful Saturday night! Hugs, Mary
Okay, I know it was just a typo but the image of you having a younger DH and him wanting to go to Hot Topic just made me chuckle! My middle son used to love that store for his super skinny jeans (he wore a 27/28 with 32 length, very hard to find!). Now he shops at Goodwill, you just never know!
I think if I did IF, I would do best with either the 500 calories per day a few days per week or the 8 hour time frame of eating. I think I could do a snack at 10, lunch at noon, snack if needed at 2 and dinner at 5:30. I'll need to read up on it!
I didn't tell you that I have 2 DH's? lol The real DH said it was like a Spencer's, but for teens. I'm so glad he got that detail and I took the assignment with older DD.
With IF, I usually end up with my 8 hours from 11-7 or 12-8. With our schedules of dance, piano, counseling, etc., we many times don't eat until 7 or 7:30. I was always a night time eater, so it works better for me to be on the later side.
