Made good choices until dinner yesterday, but then the wheels fell off my bus. Sigh. Today is another day. I have a massage scheduled for today - haven't had one in years! Then to wipe out all that relaxation, I have the cable people coming out for the second time to fix the phone they messed up on Monday. I hate my cable company!

I hope all of you have a lovely day

A massage sounds heavenly! Hope it was a great one.

It was amazing. I was kicking myself for stopping them a few years ago. I forgot how magical her hands are!

Day started with not wanting to get out of bed. But I did, because I refuse to pay a 12 dollar penalty for not attending scheduled 5am exercise

No no-calorie sweetener in the house so NO FREAKING COFFEE before workout. Don't know if it was that or just being tired (and cranky) but 60 min workout felt like 60 days

Potluck today. I see peanut butter pretzels are attending.

Beware the peanut butter pretzels!

I vote for the lack of coffee being the low-energy culprit.

I hate when that happens! Hope the pot luck turned out well.

Liz, I'm so glad you can share with us your observations of DH's disease. You have done a great job of being his caregiver. I can only imagine how lonely that must be for you. A yoga friend in a similar situation says, "I don't have a partner anymore." After caring for eight years for my mom who had Alzheimers, I know how inexact and un-linear the disease's transitions are. If you ever want to talk to a friend who knows this territory, please reach out to me. I'm a good listener, and lately I'm becoming an even better one.

In the last week my weight has fluctuated from 129-130. I'm eating healthy and gradually eating more, but it's time for more pie.

Yesterday's V/F servings came from carrots, spring lettuce mix, black beans, cherry tomatoes, plantains, greens, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, and blueberries.

This morning, I went to aquarobics class, dropped DH's ashes off at a funeral home to be divided into two portions and put into urns, went to the County Health Department and bought three death certificates (originals), then stopped at our cell phone company for information about how/when to disconnect DH's cell phone while transferring his contacts and photographs to my phone and changing the account to be in my name.

My sleep last night was brutally brief, thanks to learning yesterday that one of DH's grandsons who is a drug user and has untreated mental illness has started sending threatening emails to his dad (DH's son) and his grandmother (DH's ex-wife). It is now incumbent upon me to hire security guards for DH's memorial service to ensure this young man doesn't show up and commit mayhem or worse. I could never have imagined that hiring armed guards would be added to my grieving to-do list. #ModernLifeInAmerica

Today's theme: T.G.I.F. with an extra F. to add anywhere you think it can do the most good.

I think that may be the very definition of "adding insult to injury". I'm sorry you have to do that, Ann.

As if you don't already have enough on your plate Ann! I'm so sorry you have to deal with a situation like that. I so hope you're able to get some sleep tonight
