I do track on MFP, but don't include about 100 calories for coffee (my posting number doesn't include them either). My average is about 1350 calories a day (including the coffee calories), but I vary from about 800-2000. That seems to maintain my 115-118 range with my level of exercise (1-1.5 hour walk daily). Here is a good example of one of my days. I usually eat the same breakfast and lunch, but my dinner varies a lot (and snacks depending on how hungry I am and what sounds good). I eat 5-6 times a day:

For some reason MFP says there are 3 slices of Canadian bacon, but there is only 1 (hence only 20 calories).

"... [weight] is normal daily variation - I will get down to the 140's again in the next few days I'm sure. Not gonna sweat it!"
Paula, that is EXACTLY how my intentional weight loss periods work. I weigh every day, but do not sweat it. I just trust in the process, and thus far it has always worked. Weight loss isn't an overnight sensation, and since I lost pretty slowly after my VSG, I've never expected it to go fast. I simply trusted that process, too.
Re piano -- I'm actually good at it, or probably should say more accurately that I used to be really good at it. I studied piano for years, played by ear even as a pre-schooler, and can transpose pieces into multiple keys. If you can hum a few bars, I can play it. I play both classical and popular/standards. Years ago, I played in a piano bar.
I also write music and will play a piece I've written at his memorial services. That's what I'm working on now, although it's really just a way to feel closer to him.
And re the plantains, they're a component of the Healthy Choice Cuban-Inspired Power Bowl. ;) I don't have the energy these days to cook at night.

I have a distant cousin that could play a piece in just about any key you wanted in his head at 6 yrs old. It has been 40 years. I don't even know if he plays. Someone contacted Juilliard they accepted him into their school with no tuition. The parents thought New York was just too far away from the hills of Arkansas. The school said a gift like that should be developed and most likely lost by puberty if not developed.
I am so glad you connect through music. Sounds like at least one of your gifts is piano. Would love to hear you play.
We had a piano but my oldest brother got the lessons. I can not read music (I am a slow regular reader) but I strum on a ukulele almost every day when I am in the shop. Just learning chords and trying to move my fingers and brain. No real tunes yet.

How beautiful a tribute for you to play one of your pieces for your husband.

You play. I will sing. You play for Del. I will sing to Ron.
Said I many times, "Love is illusion - a feeling result of confusion." With knowing smile and blase sigh a cynical so and so was I.
I felt so sure, so positive, so utterly unchangingly certain. That I never was aware of love and you. Till suddenly there was love and you and I.....
In this world of ordinary people, extraordinary people, I'm glad there is you.
In this world where many, many play at love, but hardly any stay in love, I'm glad there is you....
If you played piano bars, I'm sure you know it. Were I ever to get married, I would sing this rather than write vows.
Thank you, Devon.
