Greetings Good People
144.5 today. I had to get going to the gallery so I missed this morning's check in. but Dave's announcement was worth the wait. Congrats Dave. Rock that little one.
Yay Paula for having the 4. Good news indeed. That shrimp recipe looks great. Me want some.
Liz, animal shelter may be a danger zone! Ours is only a mile or so away but I have refrained. I sort of wish DH would go over to volunteer to walk dogs but I am afraid he would bring one. He is such a softie he turns off the tv if an animal welfare commercial comes on.
Gallery was slow but I did sell a couple of things.
Ann I love the image of you watching the deer eat and then playing the piano. Do you have a deer lick? A deer friendly garden is simple. Just go buy the most expensive plants you can and they will come eat them.
Diane O, can't believe it about your appointment. So many medical and other places are not responsive. A friend and I were talking about that today. She can't get a return call to schedule a colonoscopy even though she has used this doctor before.
I have an appointment tomorrow to have my gunky hair washed. I can't do it myself with messed up hands. Well I could but would rather not.
Joey, so glad you had a good support group. I wonder if there are any "walking" apps I could use.
Ann, those frozen "bowl" dinners have been great for this temporarily handicapped person. Tonight I will actually make a chicken breast. (maybe).
Well thats it here. Life is pleasantly uneventful. NO drama needed here. Diane S
LOL! Your deer garden suggestion was brilliant! In fact, that's what happened last fall, when the acorns didn't materialize: the deer came into the yard and ate up ALL my day lilies and perennials down to the ground, which they'd never touched in 14 previous autumns. Thank God, they didn't touch my pride and joy -- the hydrangea border. Otherwise, I might've decided to go get a deer hunting permit.
I'm also glad you're enjoying the power bowls, although I don't think I had realized until now how uncomfortable your hands had become. I do hope that your discomfort straightens out (no pun intended) very soon.

Diane, I didn't realize how much those hands affected you, either. Hope they feel better soon. Do you have to go the doctor again for them to feel better?
He wasn't able to complete what he wanted to do because of high blood pressure, right? I think next time insurance should pay for you to stay in a 5 star hotel the night before the appointment, with full pampering and limo service to the appt. If only I were in charge.....
