Weight 116.4, calories 1425. I made DH his favorite cornbread (I gave him a new cast-iron pot for Christmas to make it in). A very large slice (in one small piece at a time) made it past my lips. A bit more than I had planned, but my weight is unchanged so it wasn't a disaster.

It is 44 degrees this morning. I have a tough time getting up and walking when it is this cold, but I'm going to do it. I'm dressed, but drinking coffee with a furry throw on right now. It is a good thing I am walking with a group because I think I would pass on these cold mornings if I was walking alone.

Have a modal Monday!

Off to work on this cold and snowy day. Why can't Spring be here already? I so want to be in warmer climes - though even Liz in FL is getting a cold snap!

Okay weekend. Didn't do much. Costco run and out to eat at Chili's on Friday, PJ day on Saturday and church yesterday. Made the chicken calzone again on Saturday with the left over ingredients. Boys were happy!

Lots of changes at work in how we deliver our services. They start today, so we shall see how the day goes.

Hugs to you all and an extra squeeze for Ann! Thinking of you often my friend!

Paula

We had warmer than usual weather the last several days, there was even rain (not snow) in the mountains. I'm worried we aren't going to have enough weeks of mountain snow. It is so unusual for me to hope for colder weather but that is just for my personal recreation.

Good morning!

Liz, I would skip MANY workouts if there wasn't some sort of accountability built in. Especially if it is cold out and I am warm and cozy inside. With coffee. Glad you have a new group of friends, too.

DD barista fun fact: the Starbuck blonde roasts contain more caffeine than the darker roasts. I would have guessed the opposite.

Hike yesterday (8 miles 3800 elevation) was good tho the howling wind up top was ridiculous, literally pushing people around on unstable ground. No one would likely fall to their death but there were millions of pointy things that could do a lot of damage. Cecily, you would have been ok because it was apparently too windy for the birds. ;)

You know how we know not to eat back exercise calories because the body finds a way to conserve energy later? That is SO OBVIOUS on my long hike days. I come back and sit and sit and sit.

Ok, need to do some kiddo paperwork before going to work. Dave, how did you and DW survive the paperwork of all those kiddos?

Ann, thinking of you, of course, positivity flowing your way. That is just built in. DianeS, I'm beginning to think I might make a run to the Redwoods at the end of March! And I love me some vacation art galleries! This is pretty preliminary so stay tuned!

Hug that skinny! Shel

Weight: 182.4 I think.

I hadn't weighed in a couple days. That was nice. And scary. I wasn't sure if I should weigh today because of the unknown. While I like not weighing and sometimes I think it encourages me to eat more intuitively just insofar as I'm not playing the mind game, I'm also not at the point where I can be totally unaccountable to my weight if that makes sense. I still think daily weighing is in my essential toolbox. Unfortunately it's not always a very accurate barometer :(

Been thinking about Ann a lot. Ann you have definitely inspired me to try and live a more positive life.

I spent time out of town with my sisters and nieces this weekend. I have to admit: it's a bit scary watching how consuming children can be. She has 4 and all 8 and under. I just keep trying to remind myself that while it's not going to be easy, it'll probably be very rewarding.

I'm feeling so much movement now that it's waking me up at night! Actually, I'm not sure if it's one of my digestion issues or pregnancy, but I'll go with pregnancy as the explanation for now. Could be a little anxiety creeping in too. So much to get accomplished. Hoping she's a March baby!

Two is more than twice the work of one and I can't imagine what four would be like. Though I had a friend with five and she said after three it is all the same. Regardless, one was SO much easier than two. You have time to focus on them and you can get things done when they have down time (naps, quiet play time).

At this point I'm sure it is nugget and not digestion waking you up. They do a lot of moving around and turning at this stage. They actually get a little more quiet (other than arm or leg thrusts) at the end when there is less room to move around. BUT, be forewarned that if she is more active at night vs day right to birth, that may also be the case after she is born.

Just a quick check-in. I'm heading to the trampoline park an hour away with Mariah and her friend in awhile. Food was good yesterday, though I did eat again after supper. Not sure if it was real hunger or head hunger, though, at least I ate high protein/low carb.

Thinking of you Ann. Hugs, Mary

I felt like eating everything in sight yesterday. It was an excellent reminder that carbs beget carbs beget carbs....

Today is a day of chores, laundry, yogurt making, therapy, walks, and maybe getting a mani/pedi if I'm lucky. Nothing to complain about here.

I was like that yesterday, which led to the multiple small pieces of cornbread...
