Didn't step on the scale today. At some point this week I hit 150 - another decade up. Hope to get that back down to the 130s eventually. Weird thing is that I didn't think I was eating that poorly. Of course I am not tracking either, so who knows! It is easy to have your head in the sand when you put it there!

DH went to a men's breakfast at church this morning. Something that he has not done in years. He is not the most social person on earth but I can tell he is feeling the need for more connection (support?) now. I'm very social and have missed that aspect as a married couple. Sure, I have my girlfriends but we very rarely do social things as a couple.

Not sure what is in store for me today. Perhaps some house cleaning, editing some photos, and baking a calzone for lunch. I made the best calzone for dinner the other night and have enough left over ingredients to make it again. I filled the dough (just thawed and risen frozen bread dough) with chicken, artichoke hearts, spinach leaves, baby portabellas, a little fresh garlic and a 4 cheese blend of pizza cheese. The boys were thrilled. DS#2 ate the leftovers when he came home late from work the other night and texted me "THAT CALZONE WAS THE FREAKIN' BOMB" lol! Not exactly WL friendly with the cheese and dough but no creamy sauce and lots of veggies!

Enjoy your day my friends and hug your peeps tight. Wish I could hug all of you!

I'm a little late but I wanted to say how impressed I was with your eagle pictures. Maybe the best part of those eagle pictures was knowing that you were outside enjoying taking pictures of eagles.

My gym is starting a "transformation challenge" at the end of Jan. It runs two months. I am going to track thru those two months.....eye on the ball and all that jazz.

By the way, DH and I rather fail in the social dept, too. I also wish that was different but there it is.

Reading up today through tears. Ann, I know there is no right way to grieve such a profound loss, but the grace with which you are approaching these early days adds another facet to the role model you are already becoming for me.

Weight 262.8, calories 2138 (a bottomless pit day)

It's a hiking weekend here. Today is 5.5 miles and tomorrow is 9.5 with 1600 ft elevation gain. The latter makes me nervous, but I know I won't be able to increase my distances without, well, increasing my distances...

So. When I am in an elevator by myself, I like to feel my butt. First of all, there isn't......well, handfuls of it. Secondly, what is there is surprisingly hard. Embrace the elevation!

There are probably cameras in the elevators. I try not to think about that.

You now know too much about me.

Are you sure you weigh 262 lbs?

Okay Shel, good thing I wasn't drinking my tea yet or I would have spit it all over my computer screen and keyboard! What is it about elevators that make you want to feel up your butt? I can see it while flexing those muscles such as when you are doing yoga or climbing a big step - but what about an elevator screams "grab your ass?!" Thanks for the good laugh today (and the visual it provided!)

I had the same reaction Paula. The picture in my mind was hilarious! :)

LOL Shel, years ago when I was at a hotel with a completely mirrored elevator interior (and I was newly thin) I did the model's runway walk back and forth in the elevator in front of the mirrors! My former fat self would have stared at the floor. I did not check out my butt however. DS

I mentally still add a 2!!! Old habits (and apparently your butt!) are hard to break.

I think you meant your weight is 162.8? I frequently start mine with a 2 by mistake too!
