Weight 116 OTD, calories 1150. We went to Venice last night with friends to a great restaurant on the water. I had a crab cake appetizer that was SO good and satisfying.
Though I was exhausted from the prior nights insomnia yesterday I was somewhat productive: I ordered ceiling fans, arranged for an electrician to install them, ordered a sliding screen for the garage and installed a handle on the new sliding barn door in our room. Not much on my "list" today, but I will add things as they occur to me.
It is warming up here a bit though it didn't get over 70 yesterday (was cloudy). That means no water aerobics or hanging out by the pool which typically is DH's favorite thing to do. Im thinking maybe we need to go exploring somewhere if it still is cloudy/cool today.
Our son leaves for 3 weeks in Paris in 6 days! And SIL arrives here in one week.
Have a transformative Tuesday!

I just checked my Florida project list. I've accomplished the 6 top items on my list of 12, plus one additional lower priority one. That only leaves 5 (one being new countertops which is the most expensive one).

Brand new day and a much better outlook. I have to shake my head and smile because my grazy -off day really drilled down to a large bakery chocolate chip cookie and popcorn. I typically don't snack, unless it is planned, and that was indicative of my unbalanced day. Thank you sleeve, because just that small amount of processed crap in the cookie made me feel icky. The popcorn was the bounce back need for crunch and salty. I truly enjoyed roast turkey and brussel sprouts for dinner. Turkey burgers tonight and beef barley soup tomorrow.
Paula.. your eagle photos are outstanding ! Have you thought of augmenting your income as a professional photographer? Ann, I'm glad DH is feeling better. Liz, Jenga and line dancing save the day ! Good job with that list ! BB... You are doing such a great job eating to nourish Nugget. Enjoy your remaining solitude. Life will never be the same, in a good way. I am confident you have the habits and skills to allow your body to bounce back. Your desire to be a healthy role model for DD is a powerful driver. Cecily, I LOVE storms on the beach !! Keep posting those awesome walk photos ! Diane, can't wait to hear that you saw when you opened the kiln ! Devon...lots of fodder for your next blog. I love those ah ha moments when a significant theme becomes evident and inquiring minds want to peep back the onion and explore ! Mary, glad to hear you are still dancing ! Shel... haven't heard about lymphedema in a while...are you in the same lull I've been experiencing ?
Sadie and Atlas can actually go out in the yard and romp for longer periods of time. Temperature is in the thirties, and may get to 50 tomorrow. Not going to think about mud. Nope !
Thanks for your support during my down day. It meant the world. It is so great to share from my heart, and have friends absolutely get it without detailed explanations!

Good morning interwebs family.
I don't know my weight today and I'm okay with that. I'm feeling pretty sexy pregnant fierce in my thigh-high black velvet boots and my bodycon gray dress. I may be a few pounds outside the normal range of pregnancy weight gain but I think I've done better than could be expected so I'm going to try not to sweat the small stuff.
I'm so amazed with all that this family has been enduring. So many of you are facing giants. It's definitely been giving me some perspective as to my small complaints. Not to say that we can really compare journeys or that it's wise to do so. But I guess overall I know that I need to be trying ot count my blessings. No matter what. Because they're always there. I'm no optimist. So I'm going to start small. I'm going to try to match each complaint with a blessing.
I just read a very touching article. It may be too touchy for some of you at this point in time. But essentially this 27 year old who was dying from bone disease wrote a letter about what matters in life. http://tribunist.com/news/im-27-i-dont-want-to-go-i-love-my- life-heartbreaking-letter-written-by-young-woman-dying-of-ca ncer/?utm_source=AFY#c92fc4efbe

Good golly, BB ... THAT's the photo I want to see. Your outfit sounds stupendous!
And I've bookmarked that article. Thanks.
EDIT: P.S. I've just read that article. Holy cow! It's amazing. Y'all have to go read it, too! Talk about focusing on what matters!

Cecily, I started a "Pleasures" journal in December. Am loving it. And of course, it's turned out to be a "Gratitudes" journal.
But then, of course, I also created a column for "Other Thoughts" -- which is pretty much a Liz-style "to-do list." LOL!

Wow BB. Tears. DD was 32 when she died and all she wanted was to be with family and close friends in her last days.
