Weight 117, calories 1763. High, but they will probably be low today with travel (assuming we really get out). DS made fantastic risotto last night which I didn't have much of but it was well worth it (had tomatoes, broccoli, mushrooms and artichokes in it).

So the "bomb" blizzard ended up being nothing on Cape Cod. Maybe an inch or 2 of slush. But it did break records in Worcester and Boston for snowfall totals. Our 11:15 am flight out of Boston is not cancelled or delayed yet, even though 7 of 9 JetBlue flights from Boston to Fort Myers were cancelled for today. So, I am going to get ready with the assumption we are a go and leaving in a little less than 2 hours. I may be checking in again later if things change!

Have a flying Friday!

Whoops! I wasn't paying attention and created a second Friday post (after Liz's); So I've just deleted my Friday post boo-boo.

Yesterday I took my 18-year-old college freshman niece on an eight-hour trip to The Big City for a post-Christmas shopping extravaganza. It was a fun day that involved trips to 18-year-olds' stores like Ulta, Sephora, Victoria's Secret, Pink, and Forever Young (OMG!). She loves pasta and chose Olive Garden for our lunch stop, and amidst the carbs I found some chicken piccata, zucchini and salad which wasn't bad. The conversations about the issues swirling in her young life were intense and even better than the shopping. But boy, was I beat last night, hence the 10 hours of sleep.

Yesterday's on-the-road veggies were minimal - Olive Garden zucchini and iceberg lettuce and last night tomatoes, onion and lettuce on another veggie burger. Happily, my weight's back down to pre-Christmas levels, which always gives me a Whew!

And here it is Friday already. How did that happen?

Today's theme: T.G.I.F.

P.S. Liz, good news about the blizzard sparing Cape Cod. I hope y'all make it onto a Florida-bound plane today.

Good luck getting out, Liz ! Schools are closed here, due to the frigid temperatures. Most buses are diesel, and they just don't warm up and run in thirty degree below zero weather. I'm so glad we put in a pellet stove !!

Atlas went from 5.7 pounds to 14.7 pounds in just about three weeks. He was deemed energetic and healthy at the vet. He had his next Parvo shot, and gets his final one in two weeks, prior to starting Puppy Kindergarten.

I got my appointment for a physical to be a volunteer governmental vehicle driver for the VA. Clients are frequently transported to appointments and for errands. I have an intermittent long T that sometimes shows up in my EKG...now that morbid obesity doesn't exclude me, I'm praying my heart cooperates !

Stay warm ! Cecily... Do you have a room I could rent ? I just have to be able to walk outside or cross country ski soon ! It's too early for cabin fever !

Grateful for warm shelter and positive thoughts for all those in life threatening cold.

You are all welcome any time! Today we are headed for sunny and 74 degrees. The excitement here is that we actually might get rain early next week for the first time in what feels like forever!

All of y'all out East stay warm and safe! We had those frigid temps a few days ago, but luckily (although the child in me kinda still wanted it) now snow.

Weight: 181.8 again

DH and steps leave on vacation today. Remaining christmas was put away with exception of outside lights which will just have to wait. House still feeling barren. May need to invest in some wintry/woodland and/or Valentine's decor. Or maybe embrace the minimalism. Ha.

Trying to make the most of my 10 days without DH. Going to spend some time with my parents, Do some organizing, maybe some batch cooking. Meeting some girlfriends for dinner.

Here's the photo op of Nugget from Wednesday. Not nearly as cute as the 4d, but still pretty incredible they can even capture this

And I don't recognize a single anthropomorphic feature in that image! There's probably many good reasons I didn't become a mother. ;)
