New Years Eve: Sunday December 31, 2017
Aw, Paula! What a day! Blech!!!!!! I thought mine was a little hectic, but not compared to yours! Easy to check Bella's ears. Lift up and take a whiff. If it smells yeasty or "organic" and you see any kind of brown gunk hanging out near her ear canal it's likely an ear infection of some sort. If you think she has something going on, in the yeast department, you can use (please don't get icked out by this....) Vagisil until you can take her to the regular vet for a normal visit that won't cost you and arm and a leg. One of my MD friends uses Vagisil as a first line of treatment for ear issues in all his dogs. 9 times out of 10 it works because it's a mild yeast infection (most common ear infection in dogs). The head throwing and licking the air can also be indicative of neurological issues. Watch your baby carefully tonight and tomorrow.
Happy New Year.
What a night after that long drive. I hope everything settles down soon!

Happy New Year's Eve!
My plans for tonight had to be reimagined. One of our friends with whom we have celebrated the New Year for many years has a blood clot in her leg. We found out at the 10th hour, so to speak, so we decided to stay home, have the rest of the NYE crew come over here. We'll keep it very casual...Lasagna, salad, garlic bread, wine, champagne and sparkling cider for me! I will actually like this more than going out tonight. The place we were going is an hour's drive each way and sticking close to home sounds to me like a gift of time.
Major fail on the sketching yesterday. I forgot in the afternoon and then when I tried I started to doze off. I promised myself I would get it done early this week!
Have to say a regular schedule sounds good! I've been to back and forth this vacation. Not good for getting rest. My eyes are heavy as I type. I'll be up at least until 12:30 which is more than 6 hours away.
Happy to say that I have 3 of MY OWN DOGS TRIMMED! Whoo hooooooo! Dot and Ella need a good trim and Ace is close to finished, but not quite. So 3 3/4 out of 6 isn't too bad. The cobblers children finally have shoes (The groomer's dogs have finally been trimmed??????? LOL)
Guilty truth: I was pleased the gym closed at noon today. I couldn't go, so I didn't worry about not going today. Besides, my lats are still waaaaay sore from Friday.
Have a happy and safe New Year's Eve!
See you next year! (Oh, third graders love to say that before going on Winter Break!)
I love that salutation too! I need to groom DH when we get to Florida (LOL). It has been too cold here for him to have short hair.
Your NYE sounds perfect - I hope it went well.

I'm pretty convinced that 3rd grade sense of humor returns to everyone at a certain age. All of my older patients love to say that, too,
Are you going to post this sketch on the blog? Or maybe it is a thought provoking sketch so maybe the sketch itself isn't the most important thing? I guess I'll stay tuned!

You know, I had thought about posting the sketch. I'm not a gifted artist, but I'm passable. The more I'm thinking about the vision, the strangely more like a flow chart it becomes in my mind... That is the left brain side of me wanting a clear structure. The right brain side of me wants to say, "F... the structure! Life should not be so hard. One should float on the breeze of life and enjoy the chocolate along the way."
