Cecily, belated happy birthday greetings. Shel, your cross-country photograph is gorgeous; now I want it to snow here! Diane O, your new haircut will come to pass, and we want pix when you get it. Paula, what's the weather like down in West Virginia, and will you have good weather driving home? Devon, I had no idea that girl dogs are more independent. BTW, I have the "Cards Against Humanity" game, but haven't yet found enough horrible people to play it with, so I'll have to find a game online. David, sounds like all small things are loving on you these days, including the cats. Liz, I'm betting Shel's, Paula's, and others' card game recommendations will do the trick with DH. Diane S., soon all those Christmas treats will be gone; I get the feeling you might soon be persuaded to eat Atkins' style with DH.

Here in the Ozarks it's frickin' freezing! I wore two coats to town this morning for a medical visit, shopping and other errands. This morning at 6 am, it was 11 degrees, with a "feels like" wind chill temp of +1 degree. At 11 am driving home from town the outside temp was 18 degrees. I'm not going out there again.

So pleased that my weight is back down toward the bottom of my new normal range. What's a little odd is how much I'm loving food these days. For lunch yesterday I had another veggie burger with tomatoes, lettuce and some carrot sticks. For dinner we ate leftover salmon and potatoes with a new pear-cheese-nuts-romaine salad-raspberry vinaigrette salad. And chardonnay, of course. ?

Hubby weathered yesterday's chemo very well. He came home and napped for two hours, and then was talkative and energetic through fika and crosswords, the ****tail hour, and dinner. We stayed up talking at dinner until (gasp!) almost 8:00 pm. He and DSD are having some excellent FEELS convos about family dynamics, history and events and about their feelings for each other. So proud of my hubby and so proud of her. They're both happy to be spending a week together with no other visitors around.

This morning I had my six-month post-breast biopsy mammogram. The technician (who's done many of my exams) told me, girl to girl, my images looked "Great!" Heck, she probably knows as much about mammography images as most of the radiologists at our hospital. At least, I hope so. ?

I'm planning another home-cooked meal tonight: Honey mustard baked chicken breasts, steamed sweet potatoes with cinnamon and a little brown sugar, and sautéed spinach. I could really get into this cooking thing. ?

That's all the news that fits to print.

Hey Ann, so glad you have an unofficial good image report.

And I love Cards Against Humanity but you are right - it must be played with snarky people. DS

I would totally play Cards Against Humanity with you and Diane. I like your level of snark!
