Eh, I'm here! HEHEHEHE!
I am in one of my "Do we really NEED to decorate for Christmas?" moods. I sort of love how some of the seniors I know put only a few decorations out and call it done! I'm sort of there. I would rather spend my free time not doing another chore! LOL! Damn, I'm Grinchy! However, I know that once I get going I will have fun and enjoy putting out all my festive holiday stuff! I do love my nutcracker collection!
Weight is the same. After my therapy session I'm okay with that - for now. Eggs and turkey sausage for breakfast. YUM! Beats a protein bar any day of the week. Eating is such a complex issue for me. My relationship with food and eating is really one for the text books! The committed exploration of that relationship should be paramount when considering my lofty goals for 2018!
Dropped Jackson off for a teeth cleaning this morning. Looks like Ace has an ear infection, so I am hoping my vet will make some room in her schedule to see him today, too. Dottie is turning out to be a morning cuddle bug. She gets up in the morning and instead of going outside to potty, she climbs up on the ottoman, then onto our bed and hunkers down for some love and then falls fast asleep. Lucky is the apple of my eye and a dream puppy! However, his lower canine is not coming in correctly, which means he may not be able to be shown, and that means I will have to decide whether I have room in my house for a "pet" dog that cannot be shown or bred. So, my peeps, let's all start praying for a little tooth miracle. A lot of us need "miracles" on some level right now, so let's throw in a little prayer for a puppy mouth that does not require orthodonture! (Gotta throw some levity in, right?)
Workout was awesome yesterday. Not sure if you all know what a sled is at the gym. If not, picture a steel sled on which one can stack weights. It has poles on each end so you can pu**** from both ends. Yesterday, I added more weight than I ever have before and pushed the weight of the sled, plus 310 pounds back and forth across the gym floor a total of 12 times in 3 sets. By the end my quads were screaming, but it was my breath that had to work the hardest. My heart rate got to 155 bpm doing that exercise. Doing that made the 180 pound leg presses seem like nothing and kettle ball swings like a little warm up! My hammies and glutes are already sore this morning. I can only imagine what they will feel like by tomorrow morning!
Vet just called. Going to run Ace in. So, off I go.
It's a bummer when fun things turn into chores, isn't it? I don't know why that sometimes happens, and there's a part of me that wants to forge ahead with the way I've always done things, or stick to some standard in my head (I MUST take a homebaked goodie) when in reality that just isn't what my happiness needs at the moment. I'm working on giving myself permission to do what makes me feel good. No real insight, just I share that struggle. I mean, I do "like" these things in that I feel accomplished and happy I did them, but I don't really like doing them sometimes, kwim?
Glad your workout was a success. So nice to feel you are doing something just for yourself. I miss that. Maybe I'll get back to it soon. Your post kind of made me crave it.

Weight 159.8, calories 1757 (perhaps overdid with my new soft food freedom!)
I got my hair cut today and asked her to take close to 3" off the length as it continues to shed and the regrowth, which while happening, will take a year plus to catch up. It feels like I have a lot more hair!
Other than that, I'm off now on a trip to Costco to buy the Christmas prime rib I'll miss out on the day of (but will freeze some for myself for later!). Hoping a weekday won't be as much of a zoo this close to Christmas, but who am I kidding?
Hope Tuesday is treating you all right!
I LOVE the haircut!

Cecily, I also love your haircut.
And regarding your recent concerns about looking too skinny, I'll offer a brief take on my experience with that: You'll get used to it. After all, we just don't have much experience with being actually slim.

Fabulous haircut Cecily! Gonna print a picture and go try to get it. You look great. Don't worry about being to thin. Things change. My primary care doctor mentioned to me today my weight is going up. I still have a normal BMI but as he said"you went through a lot to get this weight off". Good point. Diane S
