I checked out DayOne, and the "cloud use" made me nervous. When I saw that every picture I've ever taken on my phone, deleted from the phone or not, is stored in my cloud... I became paranoid about privacy. Pen and paper or an unsaved Word document for me ! I agree that it can sometimes be difficult deciding what to write. Ann, I have also found that just starting and letting things flow helps me identify and consider unanticipated connections and ideas. This morning, that exercise led me to considering three words: endurance, persistence, and resilience, and how their definitions are alike and different.

Endurance - the power to withstand pain or hardship ; the ability/strength to continue despite fatigue, stress or other adverse conditions.

Persistence - firm continuation in a course of action despite difficulty or opposition

Resilience - the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties

I have some negative connotations associated with the word "endure". I guess I resist feeling, hence withstanding, emotional pain, often opting for minimizing it and moving on/around it as quickly as possible. I am extremely persistent and resilient. I need to do more work on my ability to feel and address emotional pain.

139.2 today. I'll continue logging until I have a bit more wiggle room. Shoveling snow today should help!

Onward with endurance, persistence and resilience !!
