VSG Maintenance Group

Weight 116.6, calories 812. We are home (arrived at 4 yesterday). It is too quiet here. Chiquita is always quiet, but Duchess would follow me around and cry for me to come downstairs on the morning or to let her out. I thought I heard her this morning (I didn't of course). The first floor is a bit of a mess because DS has been hanging out there vs the finished basement where he usually is, so I need to establish orderliness and get the place decorated today and tomorrow (PS on Thursday will keep me down for a few days).
Have a transformative Tuesday!

Yesterday's bariatric educational seminar was good. The group was smaller this time - only a dozen, mostly women in their 30s-40s, and mostly sleevers. However, one woman was 76 -- the oldest I've known someone be sleeved. She seemed very up for it and quite determined. Baring complications, I bet she'll do well. She's already started doing aquarobics and loves it.
My 6 V/Fs yesterday came from an apple, spring greens, baby mandarin oranges, kale/spinach/chard, bamboo shoots, and mango.
Today is a regular Tuesday with morning yoga class and maybe a walk with friends, shopping at Aldi's, and visits to the public library and the post office. This afternoon I'll order some Christmas presents, read, and then we'll have fika and ****tails. I love regular Tuesdays!
Today's theme: Christmas is a'comin'!

Wow have I been sleeping well with all the work we've been doing. I'm definitely feeling overwhelmed. Trouble is I enjoy it all, but all taken together gets to the point of just feeling like chores!! I guess some of it is knowing that next year adding a baby to the mix makes everything MORE complicated so I want to go go go now. Really I think it comes down mostly to having Thanksgiving company for essentially two weekends, and then going to NYC for one weekend. 3 weekends "out" this time of year is just too much. Even if it's fun. Hmmm maybe that's my theme is that even too much of a good thing is too much. Period.
But we did finish wrapping the pumpkin bread and DH is dropping the first 2 dozen today, next dozen and a half tomorrow. Wow. I did find one doughy loaf and I'm praying to God it was in a cooler spot in the oven and is just the odd man out. I have pasta e fagioli soup in the crockpot for tonight, and frozen rolls defrosting to make calzones. If I tire out too much tonight, my plan is to nix the calzones and pretend it's just soup and rolls for dinner :) Having some girlfriends over for dinner and to watch Home Alone.
Will respond to posts later at work. Gotta get
but first a glimpse of our Christmas getup

It is a healthy girl! Adalyn. Mother and baby are fine. The family were all taking bets on when the baby would be born. I said 12-2am. Thought it would be cool to be born 12:12 on 12-12. But it was close to 6 am but I think I was still the closest. I have a picture on Facebook but do not know how long it will be there.
More later, David

Wow, that Facebook pic is perfection. I like the name Adalyn. Is the first A pronounced with a long A or short a? Or something in between?
