I ate too much again yesterday and need to reign myself in. This morning I went on a 6.5 mile beach walk with my friends and passed up a tempting opportunity to share cinnamon roll french toast. While I believe there is room in life for cinnamon roll french toast, I don't think it would have been smart given my eating the last few days. So that felt like a win for me! Ah the joys of learning to maintain.
My friends and I went yesterday to see Wonder. What a sweet movie. We have all gotten a MoviePass card. You pay less than $10 a month and can go to a movie every 24 hours without paying any more. It's quite the deal and works at something like 92% of all theaters in the US. We've seen all sorts of movies we might have not gone to because movies are so expensive these days and who wants to spend good money on a so-so movie? Now we go and don't care if it's a stinker! I have no idea how they make any money, but it's terrific.
Now I'm going to drag my rear off this couch and do some Christmas decorating.
I know what you mean. We will play it by ear. Duchess came 4 weeks after the previous beagle died. I'm not sure if that makes sense while Chiquita is still alive, but DS is talking about getting one.

Greetings December People
Still hovering at 142. I am getting my veggie mojo on with a cup of costco veggie barley soup. 70 calories and so filling. It kind of tastes like minestrone soup.
Paula I was so hoping for different news than was on Caring Bridge. You are wise to enjoy the present and live in the moment as much as possible. You have a wonderful family from which to draw strength and faith too. We can all learn from you.
Liz have fun with the walking people. I don't envy your trek home and then no Duchess. Plan on vegging out with Chiquita after the eyelid thing.
Dave I hear you on not wanting to type in "the number". Of course you don't have to but no one here will judge. Good on you for rescuing wood from the burn pile even if its firewood eventually. It must be a huge pile. And congrats in advance for being grandpa soon. With those kids being born close together they will have great "cousin" time in the future.
And yes, I vote for cleaning help for all. I always had it when I had a real job and dropped it for awhile but now in my dotage its become essential. DH and I would become downright disgusting slobs but for help.
Scrambled eggs last night and not much else. I snacked too much earlier in the day after gallery work. I also worked at the other gallery today. Often there is no one there so I dust and listen to Motown and play iPad games.
We don't do much for Christmas since there are no kids but I am planning on doing some "good deeds" for those who helped my mother so much. Crazy Pat surprisingly had me and my brother as beneficiaries of a retirement account. We refer to it as the "combat pay" so I want to share it with others who also "saw action".
Time to pay bills and take a nap and maybe search for a new hairdo. Diane S
Diane, I so admire how you're utilizing your surprise inheritance from Crazy Pat. Excellent, excellent choice.
