147 OTD.
Day off today. Have an afternoon appt. with my electrophysiologist for my defibrillator. Hoping he doesn't recommend surgery for a bum lead that I have.
Liz, hurray on the fitness added to your life. Thankful that the tempting cupcakes are gone for you. We have crap around both at home and work. I try to limit myself!
BB - glad you were able to have your babymoon vacation but sorry it didn't live up to all that you had hoped!
Shel - your level of activity amazes me! So proud of you that you are making that a priority in your life. It will be that way for me again, just not right now!
Ann, hope you and DH had great birthdays and hope that the start of chemo goes well. We should find out Friday if that is in our future as well.
This area of the state celebrates St. Nick's Day which is today. The kids get their stockings with stuffers today. All my chosen gifts for the kids and DH were big hits, so that was kind of fun! We are going a bit overboard for Christmas this year as it will most likely be the last one with Ben. Hard to think about that but I also want to cherish the time we have left and not focus on what we won't have in the future!

Paula-I wish I could reach right through the screen and snatch you up to give you a big hug. I cannot imagine the stress you're under, and yet you still amaze me. You not only function, but keep giving and giving.
I may be behind on Ben's news, and the thought of your last Christmas with him admittedly brought a tear to my eye. Even though I'll hope and pray that's not the case, I think your approach is so wonderful in working hard to make a lasting memory with him while you have him. Too bad we don't all do this, and none of us ever knows what the future holds. I wish you the merriest Christmas with memories that will last a lifetime with you and the kids. Much love.
Paula, I totally, totally, totally endorse your approach to this Christmas's activities and making memories.
Sure wish everyone could glimpse the importance of this approach to life much earlier. It would make all of life so much more joyful!

Hello everybody! Not much rattling around in my brain or on my calendar today, which feels like a blessing.
Liz, stopping at one cupcake when there are more than one in the house is a feat of strength I haven't mastered either. Nice work getting the rest in the garbage. The pushups aren't on my list of strengths either! Good for you!
Shel, hope you get that sun! I would trade you what we have for some clouds and rain...
BB, your trip sounds fantastic, even if crowded. Wasn't Bette great in Hello Dolly?!
Ann, strength to you and your husband with the chemo. Having watched my dad endure it, my greatest wish is that they someday find a kinder way to fight cancer one day.
Paula, I hope this is the best Christmas ever for your family. I approach every day I still have my dad the same way. Creating memories to treasure in the hard times ahead. All fingers and toes crossed that they find a non-invasive way to repair your pacemaker too.
Greetings Merry Maintainers
142 today. No way around it but to face it. Yesterday was pretty active as I helped do some firings at the studio. Lots of steps but forgot my fit bit. I helped a friend of 15 years do the firing. We talked about foods and diet and she told me she could not remember me as ever being fat even though she knew me then. Kinda cool. Being that busy also kept me down to only two mini candy pieces.
Hey Liz, coffee on a walk sounds good. There is a little coffee place in a small town here that uses no paper cups. If you want a to go coffee they loan you a mug and you bring it back when finished. So quaint.
Paula your Christmas plans sound great. St. Nick's day sounds fun too. Wishing you great holidays and I sure hope your heart lead doesn't need a surgery.
Ann, I can visualize your DH heading for chemo. Not easy to think about and I vote with Shel on the ativan or whatever they have. Any bit of comfort helps. My mom was given lorazepam and it helped her a lot.
Hey Shel, I am scared to look at that web site you mentioned but am glad you were able to tear yourself away to chat with us. Still looking for Mt. Ranier? Years ago I remember friends there describing it as the "projector" being on when the view was available.
Hey BB, sounds like a good time in NYC. Sounds like you did all the best stuff.
Well, an offer just came in on my mom's house. It will be good to ge the place to a new family after its been vacant and decaying for so long.
Cecily, I hope you are safe from fires. The news reports are so scary.
More later maybe. Take care good friends. DianeS
