Supah Sunday!
Liz, more safe travel wishes to you and DH!
The house is almost Sunday-before-Thanksgiving ready. The dishwasher is fixed. My daughter is running around like a chicken with its head cut off looking for her wallet so she can get to work on time. Life is good.
Ate rice and beans yesterday, delicious. I will dump the leftovers cuz I am the only one willing (and eager!) to eat leftovers and I don't want that volume of rice calories. At least it was cheap.
On tap: finish up Sunday before Thanksgiving prep, then to REI to use a 20% off coupon, then to the gym. My husband is willing to let his coupon expire. I plan to wrest it from him.
Nut success: 100 calorie almond packs. I would LIKE to eat more but not so much that I have to open the next bag. I buy them prepackaged because I cannot be trusted to package my own. How do (illegal) drug dealers package their stuff? Maybe I could resist "just a few" if there was a gun to my head. Maybe not.
Ann, I watched Pumping Iron last night as I yoga'd. Fascinating!
DianeO, lol about one-last-time mowing! Are your officially untethered from your old job, now?
Are you familiar with LOLE clothing? Outdoor plus athletic wear, including yoga. Canadian. LOLE stands for Live Out Loud Everyday.
Go be Loud.

Shel, you're so funny -- worrying about drug dealers who don't have enough self control not to over-sample their bulk product. What empathy you have! LOL!
Yes, isn't "Pumping Iron" wild? What a strange world professional bodybuilding is. Frankly, a lot of worlds are pretty damned weird.

I love a prepackaged snack! It's so much easier and safer than doing it yourself. We got a sample of Enlightened Roasted Broad Beans at the OH conference and they are delicious. 7g of protein, 100 calories, 15g carbs, crunchy and salty like nuts. I got a box of 100 calorie packs from Amazon and impulse-bought a 3oz bag from Whole Foods of another flavor. I have much more trouble controlling myself with the 3oz bag than I do with the individual 1oz bags... Interesting psychology!
No weight today, not on purpose, it just didn't occur to me. I feel "up" though. I was awakened almost every hour taking one of the dogs outside. She has the runs....at least she let me know and didn't go in our room!
Safe travels for Liz today. Stop often and stretch those legs!
Need to winterize the house today. We get an awful cold draft through the windows so I need to cover them with plastic! Still have way too many leaves outside. Hoping the landlord might get them with his lawn tractor today!
I have a head cold - sinus infection I think. DH is also feverish so we will lay low today and skip church.
Turkey day food purchased yesterday. We will be at Mayo the day before so not too much prep can be done ahead of time. It is only us 5 though so the meal won't be too bad to whip up!
Peace out my friends!
Paula, good for getting your T-giving shopping done and that it won't be a big production.
We're going to a sister's house, and I'm taking only a salad, which everyone loves: Romaine, blue cheese, toasted walnuts, dried cranberries, and raspberry walnut oil vinaigrette. Very simple, but soooo good!

Greetings Maintenance Pals
140 today. Trend is good. Dinner was hamburger and asparagus and only a bit of snacking. Gallery duty again today and I hope all the candy is gone.
Ann there is indeed no place like home. I am glad yours is such an oasis. Nothing like curling up with a good book and some veggies. You inspired me to get grapes yesterday which used to be my "go to" snack food.
Inviting peace is an excellent holiday theme. Later in life it seems much easier to not sweat the small stuff (already did all that) but its something I wish I had learned earlier. BB I hope you will not let these people get to you and spoil your holidays. Every party has a pooper....sometimes several. I think some people have a need for conflict and start it. Years ago my mother used to pick fights every year by deciding on something I should do and then arguing if I didn't wish to. Often I would just disengage.
Gosh Paula, who needs a dang cold. Rest and get some chicken soup in. Dave too. We all should do that. I guess I just decided on tonight's dinner.
Well our team lost yesterday as expected. It appeared to be heading to a blow out but they rallied and scored some. DH was eating potato chips and I confess to having a few. He drove yesterday and ran some errands. Grateful that the eye surgery went so well.
Not much more going on here. A slow life is a good thing. Diane S
