The cameras are a good idea. I actually called a guy to put up security cameras all over a few weeks ago and he never called back. Time to try someone else.

Where I live has an overly invasive homeowners association. A neighbor who actually used his camera pointed at his mailbox to catch photos of a guy stealing his mail had the HOA order him to move the camera because it violated the privacy of people walking down the sidewalk or driving down the street! I just shake my head...

I lived in an area in Alaska with a homeowner association with a 3" binder full of rules. I will try not to do that again. Out in the country with big dogs and guns.

Not in Alaska now. Moved back to Arkansas years ago. We pick land with no covenants.

Very smart! I appreciate that my neighbors can't paint their houses weird colors, but they really get in your business...
