Weight 118, calories 1464. It's obvious why I'm still hanging at the top of my range. I need to stop having so many higher calorie days! In some ways it might be easier while we drive to Florida. Not so many opportunities to snack AND the birthday goodies will be gone.
Most of the major stuff is packed (and in the car). Today is just laundry and packing carry-on bags. Tomorrow morning will be packing the last minute stuff like the cooler and getting it established in the car. DH took over an hour to pick out 6 baseball hats. Last year he tried to bring a stack of about 15 so I limited him to 5-6 this year. He had a very difficult time getting to that number. Which is why I am doing most of the packing...
I want to be out between 8-9 am tomorrow as we have 8.5 hours of driving (plus 30-60 minutes for stops). We did this part of the drive the first day driving down in early February and the last day coming back in late March. It is quite doable, but is the longest driving day. Though Wednesday is almost as long and may be exacerbated by pre-Thanksgiving traffic. I'd leave earlier (I'm up), but DH has a hard time getting going in the morning.
IF I'm done with packing tasks by early afternoon, SIL and I might go to a craft fair we usually attend every year. That should fit in.
Have a self-loving Saturday!

No weight this morning.
But I'm seriously upset because someone text this link to my husband this morning https://www.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/7dpcoq/two_friends_wh o_got_fit_together/
This is my sister and me. We have "secret" Instagram accounts that we used to connect with the VSG community, but this photo got so popular that it leaked out onto the interwebs and was on the front page of Reddit last night. And now people I know know.
I have never been very open about my weightloss journey. I endured so much hatred for my weight battles all my life. Occasionally I would confide in another heavy friend if I felt they might benefit from the knowledge. But I didn't see the need to put myself out there for scrutiny any longer. Maybe some people guessed. But most of the people in my life didn't even know me 7 1/2 years ago.
People are just still so ignorant! I don't need that hate in my life. It's unwinnable.
To make matters worse, the person who text my husband is my stepson's best friend. Which means either a) my stepson found out and told his friend, or b) vice versa. My stepkids don't know. And even though their own mother had RnY, this photo is probably going to be the subject of the stepkids Thanksgiving dinner. And it just kills me. I've worked so hard to create an identity beyond weight. :(
Oh BB, I'm sorry. I have been open about my WLS IRL (tho never, ever pictures) and I still wouldn't want to see it on the front page of Reddit.
Your identity is far beyond weight. That is what people will marvel about....that the WLS has been in the background and it hasn't mattered one whit. (wit? what the heck is a whit, anyway?)
Maybe there will be some hate...I don't know. But, those people will see their WLS prejudices don't match your reality. Living well is the best revenge.

OMG - there is NO privacy these days. So sorry this happened B.B. You are so much more than your weight or looks.

What a violation of your privacy BB! I'm so sorry this happened to you. When people post these pictures of strangers, they don't fathom that these are real people with real lives who may not want a stranger posting it for everyone to see, not because they aren't proud of their accomplishments, but because life moves on and you're so much more than your transformation years ago.
Really sorry, Paula. I know the effort required to make a trip like that.
