Liz-CongratS!!!!!
Weight: 172.8
If I can hover here for the next couple days, I'll be up 6lbs. at my next appointment. Not great, but not panic-mode, either.
DH had a good birthday. It was mostly lazy, but I think the older we get the more we enjoy that.
I think we're going to buy a new car tonight!! I hope it's not a headache. We already have the papers in the works and agreed-to price so hopefully it's just some signing. DH has a 2-seater vehicle he drives to work and our 3rd car that DSS has been borrowing (the one that "only douches" drive, and yet he still borrows it) has mega miles on it so we need to sell it. When Nugget gets here we would've had to rely solely on my car, and with both adult kids pretty close, even my car would be a squeeze for 5, one of which is a carseat.
Trying to formulate my to-do list before company arrives on Friday. I guess that's one way to get your house in order! Currently trying to decide how much I care whether my silver is polished.

Yay, Liz!
Wooo, I had the munchies yesterday. I juts wanted to eat everything. I didn't do too bad considering I walked 8.5 miles and 17,900+ steps, but still... I have another walk with friends around Balboa Island today. There is an old ferry that goes across from the island to the peninsula (it's only 800 feet from island to peninsula, but it's a fun nostalgic 800 foot trip for cars and pedestrians and only costs a dollar). So we'll walk the island take the ferry across to walk the peninsula, then ferry back to get back to the cars.
Have a great day!
Greetings Thoughtful Ones
Well its 140 today. We had Mexican food last night. Not exactly low cal but it was filling and satisfying for a long time. Got a walk in with Tesla and some studio and house chores done. But I learned I have gallery duty again today and its pouring rain so no one will come in to shop. I will need to take a gallon of caffeinated bean juice.
Yay Liz, the big day is here. Enjoy the lunch and then don't look back. When I first retired I felt like a kid skipping school!. Get ready for lots of fun and walks with DH.
Squash soup. Yum. I used to make this and now I will again. No Panera here. Maybe Costco has a version.
Ann its so good you and DH have a plan for dealing with the chemo. I never thought about the need for such a thing but it makes sense, especially since you have both seen this movie before. I have never kept a journal although as Shel points out, this forum constitutes the same. We should all review our own posts for what we can learn.
Hey Paula, good luck with Mayo. Seems like these days half the battle in anything is getting to the right person on the phone. Remember when the phone used to be answered by nice people? The trust company I use for my mom's stuff always has a real person answer and they never put you into voice mail. What a concept.
DH just commented on my attire. Black socks, a flowery flannel granny nightgown and a blue hoodie. Such a fashion statement. Liz, you will find its easy to stay in pj's all day and put off doing anything useful. At least thats what I do.
Cecily, more beach time? I could use a sunny one about now.
BB, hope you get the car. I think we will be doing that pretty soon too. Looking at electrics. Hugs all. Diane S
I SO wish we had a Costco nearby, but we don't. That's a great resource.

P. S. True Confession: Yesterday at the studio I pawed through a large bowl of Halloween candy looking for chocolate which I totally planned on eating. But there was NONE! Only jaw breakers, Skittles and gummy stuff. None of that for me. Later I was glad I found none. Note to self: chocolate urges will pass. DS
Okay...disclosure...Almost one year after retirement, and I still have master keys to all buildings and an active email account. I remain connected on a daily basis. Liz, to practice what I preach, I am requesting my work email to be shut down, and I will package and mail back my master keys.
Totally relate to journaling !! I am empowered by it. I think I use it more to integrate than to plan, but I actually do both. I agree that this forum is a type of journaling. Have to do more !
Appalachians ! We have a way to meet and connect ! Let's plan a leg to do together... and a phenomenal B & B at the end !!
