145.6 - down again. Have not been as hungry as of late....I'll take it. Food choices could still be better but I am doing well on amounts! Still no regular exercise, sometimes I'll get a little something in but nothing regimented like before! I miss it but also can't get myself motivated to actually do it! Damn stress!

Sounds like Mayo may have to push us off several weeks to be seen and/or get something done. We will insist on a timeline in the next several days and if we don't like their timeline, we will go elsewhere. We just need to get this cancer out!

Church today, might clean the office and do some laundry after (exercise and cleaning motivation have both been lacking!). Still good napping weather - but these days any weather would suffice for a good nap! My knee is still painful. Perhaps I should at least do my PT exercises even though I wasn't seeing any improvement with the exercises when I was doing them! I know consistency is the key!

I also love your quote Ann. You always have the best thoughts of the day! Thanks for providing inspiration!

Why does it seem with cancer that the only one with any sense of urgency is you?? Drives me crazy with my dad's cancer treatment...

Sometimes I think that office staff have a standard line and don't know when to depart from it. I had so many times with my daughter when I would have to get the one doctor we could reach make a call to another one so the office staff scheduling would be overridden.

Good morning!

I slept til 7 today, a rarity. I know I needed it but now feel terribly behind. Added mini-stress, when I asked myself what I want for breakfast, my mind immediately answered "everything." Usually, morning is my best of the best for food choices so this might be an interesting day.

Gym workout isn't til 11:30, a 90 minute class. I will be sick if I eat much or poorly this morning. Knowing this is helpful. (My inner dysfunction-gurl is resentful of stupid gym class.)

I made chicken noodle soup yesterday which actually included some traditional noodles. Not too many, tho, and loads of veggie's. I feel healthy and zen just typing this and I wish I could share a bowl with each of you.

Joey? Are you out there? Come have some soup.

Peace and love and naps,

Shel

Tis the season for family drama. The angst and the challenge of children can become so much more complex as they mature. Hugs !

"Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better."

This is so much more than an inspiring thought for the day. I could focus on this a good long time, and not wear it out !!

Off to hem four panels of sheers and four panels of insulated drapes, so they don't ignite when we turn on the baseboard electric heat in the living room !! At least I won't be tempted to snack !! Had killer mac and cheese yesterday... and ended up a pound down because of the quality bathroom time that side inspired !

Greetings Thoughtful Friends

The scale is flirting with 139.5 today. I managed to get a walk in with Tesla yesterday. Note to self: exercise helps manage weight. How many times do I have to learn that?

Liz, glad DH had a good birthday. Sorry about the late night drama. Hard on you in so many ways. Hope you get better rest tonight.

Paula I'm with you on Mayo. It would seem best to go back there but not if they can't find the time. Medical schedulers rule the world or so it seems. We have a terrible primary care shortage here and people can't get in to see anyone. No fair.

Love that quote Ann. Also love your plans for the day. I will be doing the same except no book club.

BB, I watched some of the Sooners since my own team did so poorly. Also some other game portions. I told DH I needed to watch a team that knew how to play. Pork shoulder sounds good as do your dinner plans. I have felt hungry a lot lately too but have no excuse.

Yep Shel, don't even ask for recipes for Christmas cookies (though I would gladly share them). You don't want to go there. I should run them through the paper shredder. Any hikes planned or is it too wintery?

DH is insisting I help put his eye drops in as he has never used any. I told him to get some Visine and practice with it. He has to use drops tomorrow before surgery Tuesday. Its going to be a long couple of days.

The sun can't decide if it wants to come out or not. Guess I should get the walk in before it rains. But first, another serving of caffeinated bean juice. Diane S

Alas, no hikes again this weekend. At one point the best the 10 day forecast could offer was a couple of days of only 90% chance of rain. I'm not the hike in rain person. Snow is building in the mountains so maybe winter stuff in the next month or so.

I do like your recipe/food suggestions. But, I shall keep to the egg and Canadian bacon and lentil soup variety.

Pharmacist pro tip: your eyes will become addicted to visine if used regularly. He can practice with artificial tears, tho. Pick some up, practice is a great idea. I would hate putting drops into someone else's eyes.

I'm with you Shel. No hikes in the rain. Whoever said walks in the rain are romantic is nuts.

Thanks for the artificial tears tip. And for reminding me of lentil soup. Diane S

My dad has to take glaucoma drops now. He made his wife do it for ages, but now does it himself. They can learn!
