So happy you love the shoes too, Liz!! I have a closet full of shoes I don't wear because most of them hurt in some way, so finds like these are like the holy grail for me. The yellow herringbone ones are calling to me, but they've been out of stock in my size. The universe is trying to tell me it's more important to think about paying my property taxes than getting another pair of shoes...
The scale was 170.2 this morning. One of these days I'm actually going to officially hit my goal of 170! Yesterday's calories were 1261.
All the plastic surgery advice has been so helpful, thank you! I think I'm going to remove the one with amazing results from my list as I think I would be really upset with myself if I ended up as one of the very few unhappy ones and knew that it was a possibility and didn't listen to my gut. I've spent 45 years without an amazing rear, I can go another 45 without one too.
I've been feeling a little nervous about my hiatal hernia surgery in a few weeks, so I have gone off my PPI the last two mornings to make sure the GERD is as bad as I remember. If it goes like last time, the first day is fine (it was), this afternoon should be uncomfortable and tomorrow night will be pretty bad. I have no symptoms on the PPI, so another major surgery is har to wrap my head around.
How wonderful that Ann and Brownblonde play the piano! I love music, but have no talents to actually play or sing. Years of piano lessons and I was no better at the end that I was at the start...
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Grrrr. 141 still. And today is a gallery day so not much exercise there except sweeping and walking in circles. At least I can park my car far away and no food is available other than what I take. I found some persian cucumbers which I love and will take for lunch. Can't eat too many.
Hey who knew you are all so musical. Devon, I will demand a command performance at some dog show some where. How Lucky Can You Get - know the song and I will be singing it now too. Streisand version. I am music impaired, can't play anything, and married into the Von Trapp family of highly musical people. They even earn a living at it. Even so, nothing like belting out show tunes in the car!
Devon, here is hoping you can find some solutions. Sounds like you are a victim of overstressed life in the 21st century. I hope you can learn not to add to that with too many "should do and must do" things. Maybe try to de-stress during what holiday break you get and not add on too many holiday duties.
Liz and Cecily, those flats are so cute! I live in exactly one pair of shoes as nothing fits right but this inspires me to look for new ones. Moccasin types usually fit me best.
Liz the plastics guy sounds good. People skill are important like surgery skills. Go for it.
Paula wishing you the best on the scan for Ben tomorrow. Thinking of you often. And ditto Ann for your DH tests and such. Its kind of hard to get veggies in when sitting around medical waiting rooms. Baby carrots travel well.
Thats about it. Have to pack up toys and games for a day of likely slow gallery sitting. And of course coffee.... Diane S
Thanks, Diane. We're packing up tonight and will leave tomorrow morning. I'm not very worried about V/Fs on this trip -- as they say, we have bigger fish to fry. :) I may go salad-wild while we're on the road.
BTW, the hotel we're staying at (a few blocks from the hospital) has rooms available this week at the rack rate of $329. But as hospital patients, we're eligible for their medical care rate of $129. (I might have said that already ...?) Anyway, I thought that was a great accommodation on the hotel's part. Nice to be on the receiving end of that kindness. Oh, and they have daily on-call shuttle service to the hospital. Even nicer, given hubby's chemo-caused neuropathy. :)

Hey Cecily, I mean't to tell you that my husband had a hiatal hernia repair maybe a year after his original weight loss surgery. Our same bariatric surgeon did it. There was no sign of the hernia during WLS but surgeon said he was seeing more of this in patients who had lost weight. He said his theory was that all the gut fat held things in place and things began to move around after weight loss. Anyway, it worked out well for DH. Yours will too. Diane S

Thank you for this! I've only found one other person who had a second hiatal hernia repair after WLS, then she needed a 3rd, and now doesn't have enough tissue to fix it again, but still has GERD. So a good outcome experience is excellent to hear!
I'm starting to feel the acid, so I'm thinking this is a good reminder of why this will be worth it.
