Weight 117.6, calories 706. Back in my range, but barely. We went out to eat last night and I ate tuna sashimi and had one glass of wine, then yogurt at home for a dessert, so I felt very on track. I did also get up to 118 in mid September and dropped down again to the bottom of my comfort zone in a week, so I'll just see what I was doing then and follow the same routine more or less. The beauty of tracking!

The dinner was with my oldest friend, her twin sister and all our husbands. We used to live in the same neighborhood and now live within 10 miles of one another (but 80 miles from our hometown). We really had a great time.

Time change tonight! I have mixed feelings. I used to hate the dark descending at night before 5 pm, but now I get up so early that I am looking forward to more light in the morning. It is 7 am right now and it is just beginning to lighten up. But the adjustment is always a pain, so I wish we would just stay in one time zone.

Have a supportive Saturday!

I agree with you Liz. I'm mixed emotion on the time change, but honestly by this point it's not light enough for me to do much in the evening, anyhow. But I especially find it easier to rise when the sun's up. So I guess it's a plus for me!

Weight: 171.8. I'd be okay if my weight wants to hang here for awhile!

Unfortunately I think my weight today is due to having trouble eating yesterday. The good news is I'm 99% sure I have started feeling baby move! Not only that, but I went to use the fetal Doppler (to pick up her heartrate) and I SAW a nudge back! That's crazy.

I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. We smoked a pork shoulder last night and I guess we're not patient enough to smoke meats :( My husband doesn't get it. You can't just be "whatever" with temps! It was supposed to be smoked at 225 for 12-15 hours. The smoker was apparently at 330 last night. I don't really have the right to be too irritated since I didn't wake up to check the temp, either. But for some reason today my husband's "it'll be fiiiine" routine is really frustrating me. He says this about EVERYTHING. Which really means "if you want anything done right, you have to do it yourself or else you have no right to complain." I know: #firstworldprobs.

Wait until you can see/feel a fist or a foot and see/feel her roll over! One of the best memories from my one pregnancy (the rest being stepparenting and adoption).

Slept great last night. Hubby and I agree that wearing socks to bed makes a noticeable, positive difference in the quality of our sleep. I continue to be so grateful I weaned myself off Ambien last winter.

Yesterday's 8 V/F servings came from an apple (a honeycrisp and wow!), baby carrots, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, and lots of strawberries.

It's been very foggy here the last few mornings. This morning's walk was particularly beautiful. Our country property is about half meadows and pastures and half woods, though which we've cut several walking trails. Below is a photo taken this morning on one of my favorite paths. We don't have Shel's Olympian mountains or Liz's New England seashores, but in the photo below you can see an Ozarkian Brigadoon. :)

That's all we got here. Sending wishes for a pleasant weekend to all.

Today ... let us rejoice in it!

I got carried away with adding extra calories yesterday. So I was at 1415. I must find the happy medium! The dying scale seems to be behaving momentarily and was at 170.8. The new one arrives today.

I'm off to the movies today with a friend, walking the dog, and maybe a workout video.

This week I tried out Stitch Fix where you tell them your sizes and your style and they send you a few items each month. If you like something you keep it and they charge you and send what you don't like bac****pt a jacket I never would have tried otherwise and a pair of jeans. Pretty fun. And I've begun the Great Closet Cleaning of 2017 and took a load of stuff to Goodwill.

This is my favorite time change mostly because I'm not a morning person so, more sleep yay!

I know some people who have had a lot of luck with Stitch Fix for exactly the reason you mentioned (trying things they might not have otherwise and liking them). I think the clothes might be a little young for me.

In maintenance I find that for me figuring out my average calories is best. I look at the average over the prior week and see if I am up or down. I actually think that changing the number day to day is good (keeps the body guessing so it doesn?t shut down metabolism). I often have 1500-1800 on high days, but try to average to 1250 (excluding the approximately 100 calories in coffee and calcium chews daily).

Oh AND I do think that the metabolism definitely slows down regardless at some point between 1 year and 18 months. I just read my blog this morning and saw that at 11 months out at the weight I like to be at now I thought that 1700 calories was appropriate, but obviously that is not the case now.

I donate a lot to the Epilepsy Foundation partly because DD has it, but also because they pick it up (even if only one bag****ep collecting clothes in bags when I try them and find out they are way too big or finally give in (already knew they didn't fit but couldn't part with them yet - ex. some cashmere sweaters). Once I have a full one or two I arrange for pickup.

Greetings Fine Friends

We have sun for once and I am at 139.4. Good to ditch the 4 decade. I went rooting around for any remaining Halloween candy last night and was grateful I had donated it all.

This always used to be my favorite night of the year - getting an extra hour of sleep in before work. Now it doesn't matter. I hate the lack of light regardless of when it is, but its less than two months until the winter solstice. I remember hearing somewhere that daylight savings time started so little kids would not be standing out in the dark waiting for a school bus. I never rode one but do remember hating getting up in the dark for school and dawn just breaking as I got there. Another thing I appreciate about being old and retired.

Yep tracking is a good thing for maintenance. Even though I got lazy and quit, I still think its a good idea.

Beautiful trail Ann. The midwest has its own special beauty and you can't beat fall there. What I remember about the Ozarks is the redbud trees in the spring. We used to go to a little camp place way down there each summer with DH family. White gravy on everything!

Well our team plays early today so may stay in jammies. Lots of laundry to be done. I am wearing out my "thin" sweat shirts and gotta shop for more. Such a fashion statement I make. Stitch fix sounds intriguing but not for this retiree/artist/professional messy person.

Yay BB, the little one is moving! I bet she is thinking of becoming a Rockette! Enjoy this time and glad you are sharing these moments.

Paula, more curses on the insurance company for delaying PET. What they do borders on criminal. Here is hoping they clean up their act soon and approve all.

Yep, I will rejoice in the day and be grateful for it. But first, well you know....Diane S

Yes, Diane -- the redbuds are gorgeous here in the spring. This morning during my woodland stroll I was noticing all the now-bare redbuds and thinking how beautiful they will be next year.

BTW, no white gravy in this house!
