VSG Maintenance Group
Wednesday November 1
Hi Cecily! So glad you've joined our small group.
I'm 7 1/2 years out. I always will have to stay vigilant. That being said, I think all of us are learning that "maintenance" doesn't necessarily mean staying the same weight (or 5lb. range) forever, but it does mean getting back up on the horse sometimes. I was about 15lbs. over my low weight. Not too bad, but I got that under control. Now if you see my weight climbing, it's for a different reason...I'm 5 months pregnant!
Cecily! Hey there, girl! So glad to see you here.
Y'all, Cecily will be a great addition to our sleeve maintenance tribe. I've seen her online for some time. She's absolutely lovely. :)
Again, so glad you're here. There are a lot of back stories going on here about our lives and challenges and successes and everything else. You'll catch up and figure it all out.
Very best wishes to you as you go into maintenance, which really is where the action is. :)

Greetings Great Maintainers
Welcome Cecily! Take the time to review some older posts and get familiar with our little group. We are as much about support through life as we are about support and help with weight loss maintenance. Hope you will chime in with your thoughts and life moments.
Well crud, up to 140 today though with the heavy socks. Our halloween party was a success but I am bushed. I was on my feet most of the evening and feel achey today. I managed to keep the halloween candy to maybe 4 or 5 mini bars. I found one Reeces's mini, ate it, and I confess to pawing thought the whole assortment looking for more. BB, those things are my downfall too. Fortunately there were no more and I had to settle for a couple of tiny Twix.
The beef barley soup was a big hit and is all gone - sent some home with a big fan. There is still cream of spinach soup but I am going to dump it. Its not that good.
We had 310 kids last night. DH keeps a counter. Thats down from last year but still a fun amount. We sit in my kitchen which has a bay window with lights off, candles and witch hats and watch the kids.
Liz, cripes, all the reorganizing comes back to haunt you even in your last days! No wonder that valuable employee is dejected. Hoping she gets a fair deal and that you can get away soon. And I had a friend who had her eyelids done. She is my age - 66 and looks like she is 36. So go for it.
Dave you are so industrious. Sorry the fish dinner didn't sit well. Seems like N and Y is probably a good thing - sounds healthy.
BB you are a decorating whirl wind. I have a friend who used to do seven christmas trees! She is down to 3 now and must have thousands of ornaments. We do christmas with them. Take it easy on yourself and skip some stuff if you don't feel like doing it. Nothing bad will happen.
Paula, hoping for the best for you and Ben. Hope is a good thing.
Well time to pick myself up and get busy. Gallery checks are due and numerous other paperwork duties. Plus loads of art glazing. Diane S
Wow thats a lotta kids.
I don't think I do that much decorating (compared to my mom). We just have 2 trees, lol. But it's always hard to get everything accomplished in December, and adding travel plus pregnancy to it this year can make it seem overwhelming.
I think you're right: nobody knows what doesn't get done! As long as I continue to enjoy doing these things, I'll keep it up. When it becomes a dreaded chore, I'll prune back.

Yesterday's mere 5 V/F servings came from carrots, avocado, spinach/kale, bamboo shoots, and red grapes.
I'm working hard with the weights in aquarobics class lately, and my arms, shoulders and back are showing more mass and cuts. I like it!
Had a very long 3.5 hour lunch with my sister today. It was great to see her. Too long a break since our last long visit.
It's drippy and foggy here today, so hubby and I have really enjoyed our "home alone in the owner's suite" this afternoon and evening. It's the best time of all! :)
Welcome, Cecily. I hope you like it here and find it a useful maintenance resource. It's been a great resource for me.
Home Alone!
