Good Morning. I woke up at 5:15 again, so here I am at 6 am in the dark reading my iPad.

Weight 115, calories 1821. SIL hosted dinner for the second night in a row and made weigh****chers eggplant lasagne. It was yummy! I'm happy to be back to vegetables (good carbs). I had vegetarian chili for lunch yesterday too.

DH and I are going to a display of carved pumpkins in Providence RI tonight. There are supposed to be more than 5000 on display.

Have a super Sunday!

Up 2.5 pounds overnight, to the high end of my range. It must be rebound from my fever, although baked brie with honey and almonds did work its way into my lunch.

Hope to fit a long walk in today. We found a gorgeous hammered metal country star for our barn. (Once it is painted barn red with white trim, it is a barn...not a shed.) It has electric white fairy lights poking through tiny holes. It is electric, and our barn is currently not powered. I bought solar powered fairy lights, and I am going to detach the electric and replace with the solar. That is the plan.

Love your barn! Not quite the type of barn I grew up with in Iowa but I can totally see it fitting in --- a fairy barn with fairy lights.

Diane O.-My doctor highly recommended the flu shot, but normal dose as far as I know. So I just got it. I was very anxious because I haven't had one in the past 10 years or so (despite being asthmatic...yikes) and I guess I'm one of those who feels like I never get the flu, but do get sick when I have the shot. But I decided to suck it up this year. The shot itself was great! I normally have a sore arm for a week and haven't even noticed this!

I've been feeling very down the past couple days. I think it may be weight related. I was feeling so so good about starting to get back into shape and nearly to my happy scale weight in the low 150s. And here I am back where I started. Maybe I should go back to the gym? But it also feels futile right now. I guess I'm also a bit disappointed in my husband. He seems to be pregnant now, too. I'm feeling angry and I don't know why. I guess it's because of my own insecurities about gaining weight. In the past week or so he's started eating like the holidays!! It's really not even about him--I don't really care about his weight (and he's never been more than 30 lbs. overweight)--and I need to realize this is just my own projecting. But weird things like he normally doesn't eat dessert. I can even make a homemade dessert and he'll take like 3 bites because "I'm on a diet." Or Whatever. But then this past week he brought home a huge carrot cake that he ordered AT LUNCH. Believe me, this is unheard of for him. He'd eaten quite a bit at lunch and then shared the rest of it with me for dinner. Or even sometimes he'll eat less of something super healthy (like chicken or broccoli) and then go get chips shortly after dinner! He's stopped going to the gym because a) I'm not going and b) he has tennis elbow injury. I just feel like we're going in the wrong direction. We're both waving the white flag :(

DSD's birthday was Thursday so of course...lots of treats involved. We all had a great time. But the bad news was that I had to weigh at my appointment on Friday and I ahem couldn't use the bathroom. I took some pregnancy-approved bathroom aids. But because we can be honest here, a lot of my motive was for the scale. I also skipped breakfast Friday morning for that purpose and wore my lightest clothing. Luckily it worked and I was up 3.8lbs. since my last appointment, right on track.

I just don't know how to loosen my hold without losing all grip. Unfortunately sometimes I think WLS caused me to distrust my body even more. Although maybe that's not fair. My body's satiety cues and cravings etc. weren't trustworthy originally. Duh.

People can't believe i'm 20 weeks pregnant. But here I am! Baby looks good and is definitely confirmed a girl. She's approximately 11 oz. now.

Maybe you are feeling down because of weight but I think it is just as likely as your hormones were looking for trouble and weight is an easy mark. Hormones are bullies.

Also, "I guess I'm also a bit disappointed in my husband......" is keeping me in giggles but only because I am projecting your words onto my experience. My DH definitely went thru pregnancy with me and was the one that ended up with postpartum depression (which ain't no joke.) It is VERY odd to see your partner living your medical condition. (Mine lived my cancer treatment, too.) I guess it is good that I can giggle about this now but I was also angry at the time.

As Carbon would say (oh....Carbon...): onward!

There are occasional pregnant gals in my gym and yoga classes. The instructors modify parts of the routine for them. Maybe check in with your gym to see what is out there? It isn't futile if it helps your brain. But honestly, your hormones are going to continue to run rampant. Just hold on! It is temporary!

Yes! My DH gained a bunch of weight with my first pregnancy, right along with me! Possibly because I was too tired to cook and the last month or so we often had DQ blizzards for dinner - what good nutrition for the baby!

149 OTD. Very slowly inching down, by the 10ths of a pound. Weird that the latest gain happened very quickly, 5 lbs in a few short weeks, so much so that I didn't think it could be "real" weight gain but I guess it is since it is so stubborn to leave.

Not quite as good of an eating day. Munched on some Ghirardelli chips mid day and ate of very small piece (corner) of thin crust pizza when they fed the food pantry volunteers yesterday. I had not anticipated being gone for so long, but DS#3 wanted to stay and help sort food after we had picked up food from our route, so we didn't get home until after 1:30 - quite a bit past my usual lunch time. Calories came in at 1,553 which would be fine for maintenance but not loss.

Off to hop on the treadmill a bit before church this morning. I have an Eagle ceremony to attend for one of my scouts this afternoon so I know exercise won't happen then!

Greetings My Little Pumpkins

Late today because I had gallery duty. A slow morning. Foggy but calm. Home now looking at chores to be done before carpet cleaning.

Well I don't have the mink coat yet. They tried to deliver Friday but DH was away. So Monday I guess. Its insured so someone has to sign.

5000 pumpkins sounds like a good time.

Gosh some of you actually like house cleaning???!!! Yeah its gotta be done but I pay someone to do mine. I should get into it for the exercise but oh well.

Hanging by a thread at 139.5. Must do better. Soooooooo much harder to lose at this stage. Good on you Paula.

BB and others, funny about the comments that DH's went through pregnancy with you and eat for you and such. They say married couples start to look alike and so why not act alike. Well BB even though you may feel like you are obsessing, you are getting done what you need to during this pregnancy. So whats the harm. All of us are always going to have a somewhat warped food relationship but whatever works.

I ate a banana today for the first time in ages. Very filling and satisfying. And last night I made chili with what I had on hand and it was quite good. More tonight.

Our neighborhood is looking very haunted. Halloween is a big event in this subdivision. Just hoping it doesn't rain on the little spooks as we don't want leftover candy.

Take care all. Diane S

I don't like cleaning - I like the aftermath of knowing the house is clean.

5000 pumpkins is a lot of carving. Wt 232 up 2 more. Eating meat is a struggle. Grilled burgers, ate about a quarter and started being nauseous. I have been off of nuts and yogurt almost a month. Do not know how long that will continue. Made home made mushroom soup tonight after supper. It will be good for tomorrow. It is soup kind of weather today. Rain, cool and a little windy. When we were first married I worked construction. I got a stomach flu. Lost some work because of it. Told my boss my wife had it too. A couple of weeks went by. My boss asked how my wife was I said she is still sick but I don't have what she has. He said what does she have. I said morning sickness. More later, David
