208. This cannot be my new normal. I have to change! (Cue Peter Brady) My son is still sick with a cold, thinks he's dying because he is rarely sick. He has requested medicinal Slurpees every day, and I have gotten him two. Everything is quiet on the daughter front, which is blissful. Looking forward to some sleep and hard work this weekend.
Down 3.6 since Tuesday morning. I can live with that. I do want the other 3.5 gone by the end of the weekend, though! Hahahahahahaha! Not likely.
Lymphoma. Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 'Nuff said?
Called in sick with the trainer today. I rarely every miss my training sessions. The lingering remnants of my cold and laryngitis coupled with the smoky air triggered asthma is just knocking me flat. I wake up with coughing fits - even though we have the house sealed up. Went outside with the pups this morning and wa**** by crisp 46 degree air riddled with smoke - enough to tickle my throat and start another coughing fit. Lovely.... This afternoon we were blessed by a southeasterly wind that pushed some of the smoke back northward enough to give our area a "moderate" air quality rating and we were able to take the kids out to play for 20 minutes at the very end of the day.
I'm very grateful to be unaffected by the fires. So many people have been displaced. 31 people are confirmed dead and the missing person list keeps growing. It is now over 100 people. I hope and pray they are all found alive and well.
Change of subject: I have reverted to a traditional month at a glance calendar to use in conjunction with my iCalendar on the phone. I realized I need the visual organization of the concrete calendar that the virtual calendar simply doesn't offer. Putting all my appointments back on the tangible and tactile calendar has let me see really how busy and over scheduled I am. It is no wonder that I feel as if I'm always trying to catch up. As an example I was able to see that in all of October I have no single day off. Every Tuesday and Thursday have 1 or 2 groomings booked after school. Every Saturday and Sunday has at least 2 groomings scheduled - some even three. Add on to that my full time teaching schedule, taking care of my own pack of dogs and taking care of household duties and chores, and it's really no wonder that I feel like I'm doing to much. Having the extra pups is not adding to the release of stress or anxiety! Geeeeeez!
D.
Yes, booooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!
And about your calendar ... geez, Louise! I hope you can create some Devon-time in November. :)
