I had a great day yesterday with SIL/friends. We explored an old sea coast town and ate lunch at a small old inn there. Last night we had dinner at a restaurant on the water - very enjoyable.

Today is an unplanned day, so I need to put my thinking cap on for another activity to do with DH after church. If it's not raining maybe we can explore another new hiking spot.

Have a swell Sunday!

Good morning,

The king bed platform is about halfway there. Except for finishing. It takes me as long to finish as it does to build.

When our DD#1 moved into housing we got her dog back. Pit bull. Great personality but does not mind to well. Old old boxer is failing. Really have to doctor his food before he will eat. I scrambled and egg yesterday to which he turned his nose up. We moved from dry food to canned about a week ago. He is 12 and has had a better life than most dogs.

DW went to city wide yard sale yesterday. I do not go but it is my job to be overly interested in all of her finds. Which I am usually pretty good at. She bargains hard. I would feel guilty. She talked a girl down from $3 to $1.5 on Soma bras that looked brand new. She has the gift. I am glad I did not go. It would have ruined it for her.

More Later, David

DW sounds like a skilled shopper! LOL!

David, you're the perfect husband -- you don't go shopping with her (good job!), you admire her finds (so rewarding!), and appreciate it when she tells you, "Look how much money I saved us!"

BTW, those Soma bras really were great deals!

Yesterday's V/Fs were mango, black beans, tomatoes, butter lettuce, more tomatoes, and strawberries. I could have had more V/Fs, but opted instead for cornbread and ice cream. :)

The weather is so beautiful. Leaves here haven't turned much yet, but they are drying out and rustle louder in the breeze.

Liz and DianeO, your fall colors are about to hit their peak, right? I'd so love to see any pix of them you might get.

One lovely thing about autumn in the Lower Midwest is that our hydrangeas rally with a final crop of blooms. This morning I'll cut lots of blossoms and make the final colorful bouquet of 2017. In a few weeks I may even get one last rusty crop.

Cape Cod changes color much later than most of New England (sea air?). And we don't get bright color too much, but I'll take pics when it is out. DS went to Vermonth for a couple of days where there should be lots of color. I'll order some pictures from him!

Greetings Fall Friends

Well down a half from the cracker weight. I really have to come up with a better plan for those events. For years I would eat nothing off the snack table. Then the slide began...

Sounds like a fun day yesterday for all. I mostly ran errands and then watched out team get beat up. Oh well.

Dave you are so industrious to build all those things. And taking in the dog. Regarding your old dog who is being a picky eater, we found that a squirt of fish oil on dog food made the picky one eat well. But then they have fish breath. Hard to see them get old. And you are indeed a good hubby to let DW shop and admire her deals. I think shopping behavior is part of the ancient hunter-gatherer instinct that some of us have more than others. My DH is more of a shopper than me but he likes the hardware store or electronics store.

Scheduled for a Scrabble party today. Not feeling very wordy but will head out in a bit. And I need to hit Starbucks. Got some coffee at the coop yesterday and its not good. Can't live without it.

Hope everyone finds some fall color. I am sure it will be good when I get to the midwest. Out here its mostly conifers but there are a few nice maples on our street.

Cheers all. Diane S
