Yesterday's V/Fs came from kale, spinach, beans, peppers, broccoli, and red grapes.

Today I'm going to make beef and black bean chili for lunch with cornbread muffins and a Romaine salad. We haven't had chili since last winter and are looking forward to it. It's the simple things in life, eh?

We're liking the new internet service, but think we need a second wifi router to distribute internet service throughout our big house. If we ever hire a live-in to care for us in our old age, it will have to be a combo nurse and IT Director. ;)

And now it's time to plan what to wear to yoga class this morning. :)

Ann... Two mornings in a row !! Add tutu designer to the job description for your potential live-in !! Spending today packing for weather on Maine coast, which could range from 40's to 75 ! Rain seems to be woven in and out of the forecast, but being at the ocean makes everything good !

Have a great day and avoid pre-purchasing Halloween candy !!

A tutu (for Thursday?)!

Weight ? (Friend still in scale room), calories 1513. DS took us out to dinner at his restaurant last night. We split a super moist "fire roasted chicken" and salad. All in all, it was a very satisfying meal. He has made quite a few changes to the menu and they seem to be working out well. I'm going there with 2 high school friends who are on Cape Cod tomorrow for lunch.

The day at the office was meh yesterday, but I had my 18 month checkup with my surgeon after work. Everything is great - my weight was about a pound less than at my 1 year check. She double-checked my labs from the one year and everything was perfect except my B which is high, but she said that is fine (just don't take more). It is probably because I take a Bariatric multivitamin geared toward RNY.

And the countdown is: 25 workdays to retirement!

Have a Thriving Thursday!

Liz, that's a great post-op doctor report. Wonderful news.

No weight for me either. At a family reunion with my parents, my Dad's siblings and and their spouses. I'm the only "kid" here. Nice to be one of the able bodied ones that can help out. Four of the eight are limited in their mobility and the other four wanted to go ziplining! Lol! I brought my camera so was able to get some family pics for them all

I really have enjoyed ziplining, and I'm probably the biggest scaredy cat on the face of the planet! That is definitely one of those things I would've never done pre-wls.

I've never been ziplining either! All the ziplines I've ever come in contact with are on Caribbean islands -- not locales I equate with high standards for engineering maintenance. But if I encountered a zipline in Switzerland I might consider hopping on. Maybe.

Oh, that's hilarious, Paula! Four are in recliners and four want to go ziplining.

Hubby and I both laughed out loud at that!
