Greetings Non-Knuckleheads!

138. Had the lentil pasta again last night. Tastes good but boy a little goes a long way. Goes down like lead.

Buddha Bowls sound good. Will keep an eye out. Always looking for easy stuff. And you are right Ann to listen to your body. One bun won't do you in. Now I want one.

Great work Dave on the bed frames. Yeah seeking peace in chaos is kind of what we all need to do. I just can't fathom how these mass shootings have become so routine and why there can't be some reasonable limits on weapons.

I have nothing scheduled today but lots to do. Papers and phone calls. Liz you will love it when you don't have to do that all the time. Good on you to get your office cleaned out now.

Well Shel I guess we all have to be grown ups once in awhile. Wish you could hike. I should do one for you. Its a sunny day and I think its going to be warm.

Hmmm, rabid bats! Yikes there was a bat found in my mom's house. Who'd think you could get bitten by one while asleep in a recliner. No place is safe anymore. Maybe the president should go to Iowa and throw rolls of paper towels. Glad the cousin got the bat and followed up. We had a wave of rabid foxes out here and an elderly friend was bitten and had to get the shots. I guess they are not as horrid as they used to be. The sheriff came and shot a fox in the parking lot of our studio a couple of years back.

Congrats on your internet Ann. who knew when we were kids how dependent we would be on such things. Do I sound like an old fart or what?

Guess that means I should wrap this up. Happy Healthy eating and beware of bats. Diane S

Rabies free knucklehead checking in ! Thanks for sharing your immediate reactions to rocking. Rocking babies is something I'd really love to do ! I'm going to look into that!

Weight is stable, in the middle of my range. I have not intentionally tried to get to the lower end of the range before vacation because I am confident that reasonable choices and increased physical activity will carry me through.

As many of you know my LP (life partner) is a combat Veteran from the Viet Nam era. He is a substance abuse counselor, suffering from PTSD, working with fellow vets. We are both in the process of finalizing legal separations to divorces. He has a major medication change occurring during our upcoming vacation. I've checked into local VA services, in case we run into challenges.

A lot of hospitals used to let volunteers rock in the baby nursery. I have never done that except in nursing school. I was rocking an addicts baby. I never did get it total quiet but the nurses were glad I was doing it because they had so many and that one was a constant care baby. I like to rock the quiet ones the best.
