Weight: 161.8

I just check MFP and the lowest I've weighed in the past 30 days (not including stomach flu) was 160.2. So 1 1/2 lbs. in a month?! I think I'll take it. And I think I'm finally in a normal range of weight gain! About 7-8lbs. and I'm 16, almost 17 weeks.

BB, not suggesting this at all! But years ago an overweight friend of mine lost 50 pounds from the time she conceived until after her very healthy child's birth. My friend ate very healthy and swam every day. That was all done under her doctors' supervision, who said she and the baby would be much healthier if she didn't go the usual "succumb to every food urge" route.

I think you're doing GREAT!

And to think some of our mothers drank and smoked their way through our nativities. :)

P.S. I'm typing these latest posts today at our public library's computers. Yea, public libraries!

Breathe, BB, breathe ! You are filtering everything by what is best for your daughter, and that alone will guide you. She'll bring your weight where she needs it to be, and you have the tools and drive to address anything she leaves behind after her arrival. We totally hear your dedication to making sure she grows up healthy...have every confidence a healthy lifestyle will be the name of the game !!

207.2 Caught in the breakers again. Daughter in CCU, son is advocating for her by sitting in her room to talk to the doctors if she is out of it. He seems OK with the responsibility and whatever he is able to do will help.

My dog just got the all-clear from the vet. He had his follow-up Xrays, the fracture has healed and he does not have to get another cast change. Hurray! He was very non-compliant ripping off cellophane, bags or any barriers we used to protect the casts.

I picked up the boys after work yesterday and was told about back to school night in 10 minutes. There was no time to think about it and thank God I went, because they depended on my going so much that they had written their notes to me. I talked to their teachers and feel much more comfortable about them not falling behind because of their home life.

However, by the time I was on my way home, I was exhausted and starving! I went through the McDonald's drive thru after thinking about it for two hours prior. I got the boys happy meals and a triple cheeseburger for me, which I inhaled without the bun in the car while driving. It was so greasy, salty and gross that I doubt I will do that again anytime soon. At least it stopped me from eating anything else. After their baths and nighttime rituals, we were all in bed asleep within in an hour of walking in the door.

I woke up early to put wash in the dryer so they'd have clean unders. I got breakfast ready for them, packed their snacks and decided that they were buying lunch today. They were late for school even though I got up before dawn, then I dropped my son at the hospital, took the dog to the vet and got my butt to work. All that running and I only have 3,179 steps.

Hang in there Joey. You really are super woman. I am amazed at what you get done. Your grandsons are so lucky. And the McDonalds is not so bad if you skipped the bun. Glad your son is pitching in with your daughter and that dog is well. Wishing you the best. Diane S

Greetings Colorful Maintainers

138.5 today. Quality bathroom time needed.

Gosh Liz, you must have been so young when you lost your father and brother. Not easy. I was lucky to have both my parents until I was 36 or so.

Phooey on those new managers. Guess they will have to stew in their own brew or whatever that expression is.

Alas I have no tutu. But I remember when I was little we had those half slips that were really full and made of the netting like older bride's veils. We liked to wear them but they left marks on your legs from sitting. Of course we HAD to wear dresses or skirts in those days - no pants even when cold. A few mothers had their girls but a pair of pants on under a skirt when it was super cold. I want a turquoise tutu Tuesday but I know I will never wear it.

Great hike pictures Shel. So colorful. I am glad you didn't meet up with Mr. Bear. You are right, it was still around there. Once in Alaska we saw a huge grizzly bear wandering along. After a few steps it disappeared into the brush. Made you think there was a giant bear behind every bush! Glad you have a trusty hiking buddy.

27000 steps! Hard for me to get that in a week. Must move more.

Well Ann, glad you could use your library computer. I think internet providers are regulated by your public services commission. You should call them and gripe.

And Ann, you are my veggie guru. Gotta keep trying to get more in. Cherry tomatoes were what I had yesterday. I think an egg McMuffin is one of the lower calorie things at McDonalds.

Lots to do today and none of it very productive. Pick up studio payroll, get documents signature guaranteed for mom's estate, take Tesla to the vet for heart worm test, ship a piece of art and go buy veggies, do laundry and wash my yucky hair. How did I ever have a real job?

BB sounds like your pregnancy weight is just fine. Can't wait to hear about that first little kick.

Last night we watched the move "Jackie" about Jackie in the days after the assassination. I didn't really like the movie, being old enough to remember those events. They depicted the events well but made her seem like a difficult person.

Coffee is a vegetable, right? Diane S.

Absolutely, coffee is a vegetable. With one shot of pumpkin spice, it becomes a fruit.. dual purpose beverage !!
