Sunday September 24
Weight 115, calories 1709. We went out for both lunch and dinner yesterday. Though I made good entree choices (salmon and scallops), I did have bread and wine at dinner, plus a pumpkin muffin at home. Nothing extreme, just a few extras.
Today may actually be a beach day after 5 days of gloom and rain/drizzle. It will likely be the last one on Cape Cod this year, so we are going to take advantage of it. I think we have decided to drive down to Florida before Thanksgiving since I will be done with work and our kids will be doing Thanksgiving elsewhere. We will fly back for a few weeks at Christmas. I'd like to stop in Charlston SC for a day or two on the way (we've never been there).
That's the news here. I hope you all have a stupendous Sunday!

Liz, your dinner last night sounds wonderful -- exactly what a Saturday night dinner out should be. :) Your holiday plans sound great, too. I'd love to go to Charleston; also have not been there yet.
Here, no tomatoes or balsamic vinegar were eaten yesterday, and no reflux happened last night. :)
And in the DUH! Department: The harder I work physically, the better I sleep.
Yesterday afternoon, our college freshman niece brought over four of her new friends to introduce them to us. They're all so fresh looking with lovely manners and big goals (obstetrician, sports journalism, teacher, dentist, psychiatrist). Made us feel great to be with them.
Y'all have a nice Sunday. Here it will be more deck yoga, more mowing, a little housecleaning and, of course, crosswords. And maybe some ice cream. :)

No weight until tomorrow AM. Chuck and I bought new bikes before I left Friday, so that should help maintain higher activity level.

Supah Sunday!
I was at a x-country meet yesterday. I do love watching those kids, some of them now giant kiddos. Today, a hike is planned. I'm leaving within 30 minutes and still not sure what direction to take. It is supposed to be mostly cloudy. I feel like staying home just to stay home but I know I would regret that.
BB, there is a wide range of normal for anything medical which is why your doctor seems vague about how much weight to gain and when to gain it. I know you know that and it is still frustrating/scary. Because I am not you, I focus more on your food decisions which seem stellar even in the face of being worried about food.
After your baby is born you will also have her weight/poop metrics/milestones/friends/lack of friends/mental health/etc to gnaw on, forever and ever. Right now, as I type this, I am worried about a homecoming dress. And more.
My sister frequently wonders "Where is the chill pill? Why can't there just be a chill pill?"
Off to the mountains, hope you all have a great day,
Shel

Greetings Chillin' Maintainers
Still 138. I was pretty much a slug yesterday but got a lot of veggies in. Kept wanting to snack but made it carrots and mini peppers. Mostly watched football And other tv. At least our team won. Hubby now has Chrome TV, Apple TV, Netflicks, Tivo, and I don't know what else. Not to mention his constant iPad companion. Time for him to get back to dog walks before the rain starts.
Liz your dinner and travel plans sound great. Hit the beach!
Shel, yeah there should be a chill pill. You are so right about how easy it is to get all wrapped up in worries and it must be a million times more when you have kids. Good advice to BB on weight. Even though we are all riding the same train our journeys are individual. I also wish there was a motivation pill. I just can't seem to make myself to all the clean up and dejunking around here that needs to be done. Its not fun so I just don't do it. Need a JFDI pill.
New bikes! Cool Diane O.
Ann sounds like fun with the young ones. So good to know there are good kids in the world when you hear so much news about the not so good ones. We have watched our nieces and nephews grow up into solid good people and have kids of their own who are well on their way. We should all go out of our way to mentor young ones. Older lady next door had a birthday party last night and her grown sons were there. They really look after her. She raised them right. They even came over to apologize in advance if they got too noisy. They didn't though our dog wanted to join the party.
Ok, I hereby declare that I am going to take a good walk today, with or without dog. That way, I will have to report in tomorrow.
But first, more coffee... Diane S
