Well, I just learned what a "buff" is. Had no idea such a thing existed. Gotta get one of those. It seems so much more stable than an Hermes scarf. ;)
Y'all, that's a bit of an inside joke. When Shel and I met up in Vancouver we visited the local Hermes boutique to admire their scarves, shawls, clothes and $8,000 capes. No purchases were made.
EDIT: Just found this video on how to wear a buff ... I've really gotta get one!

Right, no #Hermes on me! I'm more of a #buff, #smartwool, #athleta, kind of girl
I have watched that video a million times! That woman model is a perfect sales person. I love my buff *** buffs.) It hides my sweaty stringy hair and provides protection for my ears from sun and cold. (It was in the 40's when we started that hike....burrrr)

Greetings Chatty Ones
So much fun talk today. And much of it is not even about food or whining about weight. I see this as a good thing - less food fixation and more focus on joys of life.
But Liz I have to say the sea bass sounds like the best part of your day to me. Sea bass was the center of one of my best meals in my former life. I love the description of your friend's shop and place. Lots of people here have hand made tile and unique mosaics. A friend of mine made all these dinosaur bones and then mortared them into a retaining wall and it all looked like a dinosaur dig with lots of ferns and ancient looking plants. I have dreamed of redoing our shower with hand made ceramic ferns and a pebbled floor.
Well I definitely do not have my clothes cataloged and mostly I just root around looking for something clean. Sometimes I find stuff I have forgotten about.. Drawers are full of stuff yet there is nothing to wear. ZERO dress up stuff. Nope I don't have a "buff". I thought those were called "do-rags" . I totally am a fashion disaster but I am too old to care. Speaking of fashion, I wonder what Spencerella is up to?
Yes BB I do agree the floor must be well done and not just ok. Remember baby is going to be crawling around on it. Wish I could redo a lot of our house but DH the hoarder will just junk it up and I give up. Reminds me I have to get the carpets cleaned before Halloween now that the old (messy) dog is gone.
Great dinner Ann. For those of you with excess zucchini, I used to have a recipe for a cold zucchini soup that was made with chicken broth, curry and buttermilk. Could probably use gy in place of buttermilk. Also zucchini is good mashed up with a bit of half and half and parmesan cheese.
Yep, I have watched some of Devon's videos and will check again. I am not good at Facebook.
Had a nice dinner of crab cakes appetizer and a glass of Pino Noire last night. The restaurant is in a casino but super nice and spectacular ocean view. I could only eat one crab cake so the other one is waiting for me. I won about $3.50 on the slots. Our football team lost so that was no good. Later we watched the movie "Hidden Figures" which was very good. I am old enough to remember being in the south and seeing the earmarks of segregation. Never in a million years did I think we would still be struggling with racism today.
Great views on the hike Shel. Glad you have a hiking buddy that is your speed.
Well time for more coffee and reviewing OH info. Its how I ease into the day. Reality is so over-rated. Diane S

I'm of of those Baptists at church while all you heathens are shopping or yogaing or hiking or doging or whatever! Jk about the heathen part though. I would have gladly given up church for more time in my bed today. I fear DS#3 has shared his germs with me and DS#1. So far DH and DS#2 are spared though DH now has a new infection at the feeding tube site.
I am a clothes horse now too. Don't have things catalogued but did have clothes arranged by colors until DH started putting away the clothes and messing up my system. Hard to yell at a man that does the laundry though.
With Diane and soon to be Liz retiring, makes me long for our future plans for Maui. 4 more years until the youngest is done with school and then there is that cancer thing that DH needs to prove he's kicked before we can consider buying a place in Maui.
DS#2 had been asking for another dog. I think 2 is perfect and I know he wouldn't be the one to care for it if we got a third. Those Frenchies were tempting though. Friends of ours got a smaller doodle of some sort and that made me want another as well.
David, Linda, come out come out wherever you are!
Those germs are the last thing any of you need! Find time to nourish yourself. Sending virtual chicken soup to you!
Usually I see a puppy as the cure for anything but agree with you that it isn't likely the right time for you. We brought Tink home a few weeks before I was diagnosed. Of course we had no idea what was about to hit and had we known we would have never been puppy hunting. It turned out that Tink provided therapeutic diversion for all of us that first year. But, we were down to one dog at that point and the family dynamics very different.
Love that DH does helps with laundry in his own special way. That's love.

Hello All-
Mortified, I am ! Calling a buff a bandana!! Who knew !? What did we do without YouTube ?
I had a first today ! I mowed a half acre with a self-propelled mower in 80 degree heat. (Wait for it... that's not it !) I didn't stop to drink along the way, and was parched by the time I finished. I grabbed a bottled water from the refrigerator in the garage and guzzled down half the bottle. I haven't slugged anything down in more than two years ! It didn't hurt, but it wasn't a pleasant sensation... perhaps because I'd realized what I had done and there was some apprehension. No harm, no foul!
I, too, arrange my clothes by color, casual/dressy, and length (sleeve or hem). I made combination notations in my daily calendar of what I wore/planned to wear. After retirement, I did the "Diane thing", and kept two pair of panty hose and two pair of tights and threw everything else out. Weeded out shoes and career clothes, and now spend more time organizing my athletic wear ! Love it !!
Teaching my first Reiki l & ll combo class starting tomorrow. Our pellet stove is being installed Tuesday. Going to a Chamber of Commerce event Wednesday evening to network a bit. Haircut and color Thursday, then NYC for the weekend to visit my youngest, the Pharmacist. She is a Preceptor for first and second year residents, and finally has a weekend she's not on call !!
Going to check out Buffs !

LOL. Personally, I had to look up DianeS's do-rag. Mine has more of an un-do purpose.
Have fun with your daughter. Is she an in-patient pharmacist or an out-patient pharmacist? (Or, perhaps a hip hybrid of the two....)
