Weight 115, calories 1292. I felt like my weight should have been more because I indulged in some phenomenal carrot cake at DS new restaurant. I guess I balanced it out with the planned eating over the rest of the day and the monkfish meal. And carrots are a vegetable aren't they???!

We visited a gift shop further down Cape Cod owned by friends from our previous town (they live here fulltime too). They have an old historic home and a barn type gift shop. LOVED her stuff (she has incredible taste). We bought a couple of things (SIL and I), and will probably return at some point. There was a mirror I'd like to bring to Florida which she had a good price on but wasn't sure I wanted to spend the money on yesterday. I looked it up online and her prices are really good. They gave us a tour of their house - so beautiful (moldings, shiplap, etc). The husband is a cabinet maker (formerly a builder in our previous town), so where things weren't already restored to their taste, he added detail. Like a wall in the living room with built in cabinets, distressed mantel and fireplace surrounded by a unique mosaic they did together with local stones and a couple of starfish and horseshoe crab accents. Really unique! They also gave us a 1.5 pound sea bass filet from a fish caught yesterday morning. Dinner tonight!

Have a succulent Sunday!

What a great day y'all had, Liz! The accomplished, artistic people in my life are so inspiring. I'm not one of them, but I sure do admire and appreciate them.

Joey, wondering how your daughter is faring after her surgery the other day. Dave, like others I miss your check-ins.

I've been up since 4:00 am. Still eating my V/Fs like crazy and watching my weight continue to drop. So weird!

Am headed into town shortly for some grocery shopping while all the Baptists are at church. Today I'm making a Serious Sunday Dinner -- pork loin roast, sauteed white/golden/blue small potatoes and pearl onions, grilled zucchini, butter lettuce and tomato salad, and something I'm calling "mango whip" (a mango and Greek vanilla yogurt blended into frappe consistency). It sounds like a lot. But I'll go very light on the potatoes, which will help.

At sunrise I spent a delicious 50 minutes doing deck yoga. A cattleman neighbor has acquired a donkey who hee-haws at dawn like a rooster. It's not nearly as irritating as that sounds it might be.

Oh, and yesterday I cataloged all my 2017-18 fall and winter wardrobe (item type, colors, fabrics) so I can more easily search for fresh combinations to make "new" outfits. My name is Ann, and I'm a little OCD. ;)

Today, I'm playing house.

Ooh I love everything you said today!

I'm Bonnie, and I too may be OCD. I may or may not have made a list of all the pinterest outfit combinations I liked, and then went through my closet and found similar suitable items and listed those off so I would think of new creative combinations ;) Unfortunately it won't work so well for maternity. I did, however, change my closet over from summer to fall/winter the other day. Anyone else a clothes horse since WLS? I feel like for YEARS I saved up everything I wanted to buy in a mental catalogue. Now if I want it and it fits, I have a hard time saying no. Baby's future closet is filled to the BRIM with my clothes.

Your dinner sounds fabulous. I need to use up some zucchini too. I wanted to make a zucchini, eggplant, tomato gratin, and we are having some friends over to watch a movie tonight, but my lack of table makes it difficult to serve certain dishes. I was thinking maybe a soup or a pasta that's more one-dish, one utensil.

Clothes horse yes, catalogued and organized into outfits no (though I do have all dresses together, skirts together, pants together, etc. and have them split by casual in one closet vs. work-worthy in the other).

Cataloging your clothes! I'm impressed. I just rearranged the closets a little (and put a few more work clothes in the donate bag), but that is as far as I go. On that note, DH has 8 suits he retained after retiring (and refuses to donate). When the heck is he going to wear 8 suits????

Hubby has two suits and wears only one (the black one) -- he is so NOT a clothes horse! But the heart loves what the heart loves.

I have some pieces I'll get little future use out of that mean a lot to me because of where / when I bought them or wore them.

Clothes are now my most favorite toys!

Ooooh Carrot cake: my favorite!!

weight: 163.2; calories around 2,000

At 15 weeks now, I've gained about 8lbs. average. That still seems high for me.

Yesterday I was very very hungry in the morning, and then not the rest of the day. DH and stepkids and I went to the fair so I got more walking than normal. Usually fair food is a weakness of mine, but I just wasn't feeling it. I had a couple fried cheese curds and we all split a fried banana pudding among us. Unfortunately those calories, plus the pizza I had for dinner really added up. So not much food volume yesterday, but definitely high on the fat and calories.

I'm feeling in a bit of a funk today. Dare I say depressed? I hate deviating from a routine and normal, and having my house in upheaval has meant just that. We had to take a several day break for new tile to arrive, and now they have started laying it and it looks just AWFUL. There is a very obvious line between the new and the old. I get it; in the grand scheme of things I'm so lucky that this is all I can complain about. And I'm mad at myself that it's getting to me. But I feel like I can be honest here, and it IS getting to me, like it or not. So now we're faced with the decision to forge ahead, get it done, and get them out. And hopefully once it's all in it'll look fine. But then there's the other side that says: we didn't go through all this for "fine." Our last floors were fine. But it may be hard to match the first round of travertine they got (the good stuff) and there is none to blend with! Plus there's the time of waiting for it to come in, they'd have to remove the stuff they just put down, put in the new stuff. I'm sure it'd be another 2 weeks, minimum. Not to mention more costs. Not to mention the contractor may refuse to do it, leaving us to find another!! Ugh. And in the meantime my asthma has been horrible due to all the dust. And we have no table to eat at, and I haven't been able to decorate for my favorite season (fall). I need a reality check that this is not a big deal, but today I'm feeling very overwhelmed by it.

When we replaced all the windows in our house 3 weeks before Christmas (DH arranged the timing), I flipped out and HAD to have everything put back together within a week of the work. Whe we redid our kitchen and downstairs bath in our former home, I moved temporarily to our Cape home because I couldn't deal with the upheaval. When the tile was put into our Florida condo last spring, I stayed at our friend's condo.

So I understand your funk completely!

Oh and "fine" shouldn't be okay. If it's definitely not right, change it (even though it will be more disruptive).

Supah Sunday to ya all!

In the last hour, I figured out that my extreme malaise post hike was related to a lack of caffeine. Even when I realized this, it took me a 1/2 hour of putzing around to finally produce a cup of Starbucks Via instant coffee. 10 minutes later, I am back to myself.

Yesterday, I had a couple of cups about 5AM and then no more. Lordy, I need to cut back if going without results in the carnage in front of me. My stuff is everywhere! The family room and kitchen look my daughter's room! (I always knew that trait comes from me.)

Liz, what great friends to have. What style! Having seen pics of your house, I know you have that gift, too.

BB, I agree you aren't doing this house updating for "fine." Have you had someone else look at it with objective eyes to confirm what you think you see? If you have the dollars, that extra 2 weeks is a small price to pay in the long run. I am not objective in this. DH is TERRIFIC at many home things but there are many tiny parts of our house where his handiwork is "fine" and I am telling you it is not fine over the long haul.

Hiking with my neighbor was good. She is a bit faster than me (duh) but is gracious about it. We match perfectly in wanting to get an early start and types of hikes we want to do: beauty, length, enough intensity to keep it interesting. Yesterday's hike had it all. It included a long narrow ridgeline with views on both sides. There was smoke in atmosphere that hurt the views but we couldn't smell it. It's a hike that I will happily go back to. Usually, I don't like to repeat. Ann, I need to make a spreadsheet of this info!

Pics of Scorpion mtn below, including one of me. I always wear a buff when I hike --- very granola-y, don't cha think?

Have a great day, Shel

ETA, DianeS (and anyone else) if you haven't already, look at Devon's facebook video posting of the frenchies. Mus****ch with volume up. I loves it. I want to steal all of them.
