Weight 115, calories 850. We did go to the Newport Boat Show yesterday. OMG, I have never seen so many boats crammed in the water in my life! We toured many boats ranging in price from 100,000-2,000,000. Amazing! One of the big ones had 4 bedrooms and 3 baths (and it wasn't even close to the largest one). You had to sign up to go on the biggest ones, so we skipped them. DH had some difficulties going up and down the levels which I didn't expect, so he was ready to stop after a couple of hours. He did have a couple of his chatty spells. One of the effects of him losing some filters is that he will start a conversation with a stranger if they just look at him. Then it is tough to get him away even when you can see the other person is uncomfortable. We ate dinner at a restaurant on the water which had great crab cakes (the appetizer size is a frequent go-to for me when we go out). DH got confused over what he wanted to order and a little peeved with me when I tried to help him sort it out. It is getting to be a challenge at times...
I still can't believe that in 2 months the weekend won't be different from weekdays.
Have a successful Saturday!

Liz, visiting those fantasy boats sounds such a fun field trip. I do feel for you and your hubby as y'all navigate Alzheimer's ever-changing challenges. Those of us who've been or are in your shoes understand. One of my favorite mantras is "We'll never see these people again!"
And about post-retirement weekdays and weekends, you will find your own new rhythms. BTW, I still get that old TGIF tingle on Friday nights. As much as I love my weekday exercise classes, I also love that I don't have to drive anywhere on weekend mornings.
Weight's back down to my new normal range. I had one of those big peaches yesterday, and it was amazing!
Today I'll be mowing and housecleaning. Ah, the glamour!

Sizzling Scorpion Saturday to you all!
Linda (my 5'1" Amazon neighbor) and I are hiking Scorpion Mtn today.
Joey, hope your DD is recovering well. Liz, 37 more days? Ann, aren't those peaches amazing! Also, new crop apples are in. Fabulous! DianeS, do you live a Trader Joe's? They carry those snackable cucumbers in 5 packs so there is less spoilage than the Costco ones. Paula, good vibes for Ben's healing....and DS, too! Dave, Dave Dave! where art thou? Thinking about your Florida family..... DianeO, it is fun watching your retirement tho I don't see a lot of retiring in it! (Maybe that is the best thing of all.) BB, I vote YES for the minestrone and quinoa! Devon, hug all those pups for me. Hide the Frenchies....don't them leave! Who am I missing? I love you too!
On the road again. I love these weekend excursions tho my housekeeping suffers for it.

Peaches and Apples ripe from the orchard! I miss the many orchards in central Massachusetts where we used to live.

Greetings Fun People
Well today is my birthday and the scale gave me a gift of being down a pound. I plan to stay in my jammies and watch football as our team is on early.
Boat show sounds fun.Liz, your DH does things similar to my older brother who has a brain tumor. So sad when a brain is not itself. Yep, in retirement I sometimes forget what day it is. And for awhile at first I felt like I was skipping school. Now I get annoyed if the real world interferes with my plans. Like I have a jury summons for next week. Yuk.
Hey Shel, enjoy your hike with Wonder Woman. I wish we had a trader joe's but we don't. Still sometimes at the health store they have those cucumbers by the pound and I can get a few.
Ann, now we all have peaches on our minds. I should get some as soon they will not be available. Do you ever get the white ones? So good.
Well time to go goof off. No cleaning or mowing for me. Diane S
Happy Birthday Diane! Relax and enjoy the football game!

Diane, no I haven't yet had white peaches. Several people have rhapsodized lately to me about them.
Thanks to your query, white peaches are on my next grocery list. :)
