210.2 hoping this is my new temporary high and not my new low. BB, I totally get the weight envy. The lowest I got was 182. I liked 182, I want that to be my new high.

Daughter having surgery today, been on hold for 12 minutes now waiting for a nurse to update me. I know they are very busy and sometimes don't have time to eat or pee, so I will wait patiently. I guess not too patiently since I noted the time.

Reading what everybody writes about what they eat and remember thinking in the past that cheese or whatever is OK... I kaboshed most of my old knowledge and am learning how I really should eat. BTW, Keith Richards will not eat cheese, because he says -- it stays with you, y'know. It is time I start emulating Keith Richards.

Joey, please let us know how your daughter is faring after her surgery. We are all thinking of you and her.

And your selection of Keith Richards as a health role model is still making me grin. He must be doing something right, eh?

Greetings Fine People

Well my weight is up to 138.5 and I am not a happy camper. I need to figure out stuff to take to studio and gallery for lunch besides cheese sticks and almonds. Too much salt and calories. And my vegetable at dinner last night was olives. Salt indeed. Sitting around at the gallery didn't help either though I did walk to the bank.

Well Liz the boat show sounds fun. And I am so glad you got what you wanted at the work scene. You earned it!

Shel we can always count on you to share the "poop". My SIL had an intestinal blockage which I think means she was full of you know what. She had to have surgery. She eats badly and is extremely sedentary. Not good for the plumbing. (note to self - get busy).

BB veggie chili sounds good. I used to do that but haven't in years. Might make lentil soup tonight.

Devon I watched your puppy videos today. So adorable. Makes me want a litter but Tesla is a year away not to mention all the health checks.

Dang those cravings Devon. I am not having so many of those but I realize I have fallen into old habits of mentally calculating how I can do my chores and errands in the most efficient way (fewest steps) and for awhile I had stopped that and didn't care how far I parked the car and such. I tell myself its about saving time but I don't need to save time at the expense of my physical health. Move it or lose it!

Sending good thoughts to Paula and DH. And hey Dave, are you going to have to go to Florida for repair work?

Papers await. Time for more coffee. Diane S

yeah, is it just me, and maybe it's just Ann's influence, but I'm suddenly wanting all types of non-meat things lol. Quinoa, pasta, lentils, beans, squash, eggplant, any and all fall vegetables. A good minestrone sounds to-die for right now.

Of course I'll probably be hungry 2 hrs. later. Still haven't quite figured out how to work that out.

BB, FTR, my experience has been that I feel full for hours and hours after eating lots of veggies.

Try it, and see what happens! But as always, your experience isn't guaranteed to be the same as mine. :)

Ann thoughts have got me thinking about soups too, loaded with fall vegetables. I am typically very strict about liquids with solids, so have to work that through.

You'll have to figure out how / if soup will work for you. I do find I can eat a bit more volume when I eat this soup. But it doesn't seem to leave my tummy too soon. And I'm definitely not tempted to start slurping other liquids with non-soup meals. EXCEPT for very small sips of a beautiful red when enjoying a beef entree. ;)

BB, I think that cravings during pregnancy are often based on what the baby needs. Especially if they are healthy cravings. I love vegetarian chili too and I think I may need to make up a batch. I find it very filling and though you may eat a bit more frequently, the calories are relatively low.
