Weight 116.5, calories 704. Back to the middle of my comfortable weight range (whew!).
I'm meeting with my boss's boss today. I have 1:1's with him every 2 weeks to give him insight into why choices about technology were made and what the priorities have been over the years (and why they weren't achieved). I'm hoping he will give me some insight into when this last reorganization will occur (last for me anyway).
I'm finding that it is more and more difficult for DH to motivate himself. He could go to the pond and swim or I could take him to the gym but he doesn't seem to be want to go anywhere alone anymore. Tomorrow we are taking a "field trip" to the Newport RI boat show. Next week some guy friends are taking him to a maritime museum. I want to do a whale watch on a nice day in the next couple of weeks. I wonder if he will feel like glue when I retire. He goes to bed when I do now, as he needs to sleep 12 hours or more, but I get up 4 hours before he does. I wonder if I try to stay up later if that will mess up his sleep cycle. I guess we will see...
Have a totally great Thursday!

Quick drive-by post today ...
Weight is coming back down nicely after the wedding weekend. Honestly, it just knocks me out that I can actually manage my weight if I get back on the healthy lifestyle horse after vacations. Thank you, dear sleeve!
Ate a lot of mango yesterday. Yesterday, I bought some MONSTER peaches that are still ripening to perfection. Today I'll buy portabello mushrooms, red peppers, and avocadoes and put all that together with feta cheese in an open-face vegetarian sandwich.
This V/F thing doesn't suck! :)

OMG! That sandwich was amazing!
Oven-grill 3 portabello mushroom caps and 10 ounces of sweet red/orange/yellow peppers with a couple of tablespoons olive oil on a tray covered with aluminum foil for 20 minutes @ 450 degrees
1/2 sliced avocado
1/2 cup sliced sweet cherry tomatoes marinated in salt/pepper/balsamic vinegar
Put 1 ounce of feta cheese on each mushroom cap and nuke in microwave for 30 seconds
Put one mushroom/feta cap on toasted whole wheat bread and pile as much of the other veggies as you can get on the sandwich. You probably won't be able to fini****!
Oh! My! Gawd!

Weight: 161.4
Ugh it's up. I'll admit I'm a little jealous of the low weights around here. Lowest after WLS was 149. But I'm not sure I'd ever be below 140--but I definitely didn't enjoy the 160's pre-pregnancy.
My stomach has been giving me troubles. I thought we were done with this! To put it mildly, I've been visiting the restroom a lot and for more than one problem :( I always have gut issues (wls? gallbladder gone? pregnancy compounding it?). But what's also upsetting is that in the past couple days I've developed an immediate "nope" gag reflex once I have eaten a certain amount. It's like I'm hungry but then my stomach is too small? I wouldn't expect it this early, but I've heard that very late in pregnancy (like late 3rd trimester) there literally isn't much stomach room. I'm wondering if eventually this will be a bigger issue for me? Doesn't seem like many vsg'ers who get pregnant have this problem, but maybe I haven't been paying attention? Tiny tummy + tummy tuck constriction + growing baby = not much room for food.
But clearly there has been enough room for food as I've gained 1lb. outta nowhere. At this point I should begin to expect to gain about a pound per week. But since I've already gained my weight ahead of time in the first trimester, I'm hoping to take it easy.
GREAT NEWS! This morning I received my 60 day notice! My last day is 11/13, when I can retire and collect 51 weeks of severance pay! I am doing the happy dance! Good thing I'm not in the office as everyone there is freaking out (everyone in my department and another one are getting the same notices today - they have to apply for the new jobs which replace the old ones).

Oh, Liz! Congratulations. That's the best possible outcome for you. :)

Greetings Clean Eaters
137.5 today. Last night's meeting was a salt fest for me. Olives, cheese and such. I woke up very early and went potty and weighed then and it was 139! Drank some water and went back to sleep for a couple of hours and then was 137.5. So does extra sleep = weight loss? Guess if you are asleep you are not eating.
Liz congrats on getting fired ! LOL I know thats not what happened but it seems funny to be glad to get a severance letter but the pay is great! So glad you got the result you wanted. Hope your co workers are ok. Corporate hierarchies are so absurd sometimes. So glad I am out of all that and you will be too. Your DH may be more comfortable with you around more and hope you can do some of the activities you are planning.
Ann the sandwich sounds fabulous. Inspires me to do more veggies. I must "cut the cheese" so to speak. LOL.
Well the sun is out and I have gallery duty today. It will be boring and probably hot in that building. Also finance goof ups to sort out. I will have to bring some toys and homework (papers for my mom). At least I have a few new art pieces to take in and I have to park far away due to weird parking rules so I get some steps in.
A friend went to the hospital yesterday in terrible pain. Turns out it was a kidney stone which passed and she is fine today. Scary.
Yum, peaches sound good. And our local apple farm is open. Time to get some before its too late. My surgeon is anti-fruit but I think he is nuts on this one.
BB sorry for your tummy troubles. I guess weird changes are to be expected. Enjoy the adventure of pregnancy. Do you crave pickles yet?
Take care all. Diane S
