VSG Maintenance Group
Wednesday September 13
118, calories many, so I'm at the top of what I've been using as much acceptable range. We had an impromptu birthday party for BIL who came to take DH to the beach yesterday. Steak and Birthday cake. Part of the weight is bathroom time, but not all. I MUST buckle down!
I was going to be in the office today but my meeting was cancelled so I am WFH all week. That makes it more difficult to stay away from snacks... LOTS of coffee today!
Have a weight friendly Wednesday!

Diane asked what kinds of veggies / fruits I eat. Yesterday's 8 V/Fs came from these foods:
Yoga brunch: 1/2 cup mixed fruit (strawberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, pineapple, dates)
Lunch: 2.5 cups of some luscious leftover homemade vegetable beef soup (made with white beans, black breans, tomatoes, corn, green beans, peas, onions, carrots and potatoes, although I didn't eat any potatoes). Yes, I CAN eat this much soup, although this is more legumes and starchy veggies than I usually have.
Dinner: 1/2 cup steamed broccoli
Dessert: 1.25 cups of blueberries
FYI, one serving of most V/Fs is 1/2 cup (or 2 cups of leafy greens).
A more typical day includes a morning snack of melon, berries, mango or a small apple; at lunch I usually have raw tomatoes, sliced raw baby carrots, and salad greens with a sandwich; at dinner I try to have 2 servings of green beans, squash, or cruciferous veggies; post-dinner dessert is a cup of blueberries, strawberries or mango with Greek yogurt.

Weight the same. Lots of crap eating yesterday. Have today and tomorrow off work.
Nice weather here for a change. Plan to get some exercise in, my days for outside exercise will be numbered unless I want to use my snow shoes!
Lots of deep thinking on the board. I appreciate all of the musings shared by you all. No deep thinking in my head as of late, just trying to get by day to day. This season will end, that I know!
My lawyer dropped the ball getting my mortgage payoff amount, and I still don't have my check, and lost $1,000 paying interest on the principle through 09/20 even though I closed 09/08. l'm hoping I'll have happy, tingly feelings when I am reimbursed the escrow that was collected monthly.
I have to get on top of a fireball craving I've been giving in to. Seems innocent enough until the crab cravings kick in. I'll be teaching Reiki l & ll to two ladies for the next three weeks.! My first official Reiki teaching, and a return to lesson plans. Yeah!
Emulating fruit and vegetable consumption, as I omit those damned candies !

Greetings Skinny ones
137 today so moving in the right direction for once. I am eating lots of mini cucumbers. Got a bag at costco and they don't keep long. That and shrimp for dinner makes a good meal.
Liz don't work to hard at home. Glad you don't have to go to the office. Offices can be just as bad food traps as we all know. Birthdays need to be celebrated! Instead of a cake for DH I got him one lemon bar from a good local bakery. He was happy.
Gallery membership meeting tonight. Always a food/wine trap. Artists are such good cooks.
Thanks for sharing your fruit and veggie eats Ann. Gives me ideas. I should make home made soup. Its getting to the soup time of year.
Yesterday I found a big trash bag in my art studio so I decided to start cleaning the place up. It has way too much junk we don't use anymore. Its going to take weeks. We used to have 3 people in it but one died a couple of years back and she left a lot of unfinished things. So we have to either finish them or toss them plus get rid of all these experimental glazes and such that don't work. Also rearrange to put the less used things on the high shelves.
Well hang in there Paula. I have a feeling good days are ahead for you as Ben recovers.
Time for the second cup of coffee. Cheers! Diane S
Yes, it's getting to be Soup Season. And Chili Season, too ... ummm!
I can hardly believe autumn 2017 will begin in 9 days!
