Still no weight (DD and friend in scale room this morning). Calories 1689. Lots of almonds in that count (bag is essentially empty, which is a good thing).

I had to stop watching Hurricane news yesterday morning, but just turned it on for a bit. Irma is now supposed to make landfall around St Petersburg (about 1.3 hours north of our place), very close to a friend's winter condo in Clearwater (7th floor on the water). They say they aren't worried because the condo and car are insured. Our place is insured too, but I'm still worried. We are far enough from the water that storm surge shouldn't be an issue, but there are lots of trees and shrubs in our development (maybe not so much after this storm). We also checked in with the people who live next to us in Florida and they are in Michigan. Another couple we know who have a house on a canal have evacuated more inland to a friend's. A childhood neighbor who just moved to a house on the water recently said on FB that they are expecting to lose the house at this point, so emptied out as many personal possession as possible and brought them to a nearby hotel more inland and with better construction.

ADDED: I just checked the NOAA storm surge map - we could have 1-3 feet of flooding in our area because of the streams coming in!

So we are praying for those still in Florida, as this is not going to be good...

Have a safe Sunday!

Good morning, all!

Prayers for all in the H's path. I feel guilty. I will be off enjoying mother nature when so many are suffering. Maybe better than watching it on tv, tho. It is so easy to become entertained like it is a choreographed reality show.

We did get a rain yesterday, so the atmosphere had a nice scrubbin' and the wild fires momentarily slowed.

Hug your skinn¥,

Shel

So much devastation. Thinking Wisconsin isn't looking too bad right now. Of course my opinion will change when we have blizzards and sub zero temps this winter.

No set plans for today. Feeling lazy. Hopefully I can get motivated to move my body today!

Good thing you aren't in Fort Myers right now!

Greetings Maintainers

I seem to be stuck at 137.5 but its better than a gain.

Fingers crossed for everyone in Florida. I have a friend in Ft. Meyers though we have not been in touch for years. Last I knew they had a house on a canal. I am almost afraid to turn on the tv. Shel you have the right approach, go out and enjoy Mother Nature because you can.

And Shel, glad you got some rain. We have sun today and a break from the fog. Amazing what a little sun does for the spirit.

Well we didn't get to Wonder Woman last night because the football game ran too long.(and we lost). Maybe tonight.

Chicken and tomatoes last night. More of the same tonight. Its amazing how easy it is to cook for a two sleeve household.

Paula hope DH is feeling better and making more progress.

Just read a tweet about a couple celebrating 75 years of marriage and their names are Harvey and Irma!

Well off to stare at the mountain of paperwork and probably not get it done. Laundry ahead! Diane S
