Weight ? (BIL in scale room). Calories - Many. SIL and I went to a great restaurant on the Cape Cod Canal last night. Eating would have been good except for the darn cornbread (the best I've ever had). I ate one there, then the leftover I brought home. It was definitely worth the calories though, so I'm not going to beat myself up. BUT it is a good thing they aren't easily available.

Paula, I saw your update about Ben. I hope that gets resolved soon. It does sound like perhaps the tube itself just needs to come out since Ben was tolerating the food progression well.

Hurricane Irma now looks like it will devastate the west coast of Florida. The projected path goes right over where our place is. This is NOT good!

Have a satisfying Saturday!

Happy Saturday, unless a hurricane is bearing down on you. Then, well wishes of safety are heading your way. Liz, I'm glad you aren't there right now.

I am taking DD to a xcountry meet up north near the border. It might rain. No one is claiming to love the sun anymore. We are tired of it. We (and the forests) are parched.

Paula, many positive thoughts for you and Ben this morning. Hopefully just an irritating bump in the road. Of COURSE he loves chocolate. It is delicious.

BB, happy birthday to ya! I think you will love your 30's. I think people that embrace a passion (like law school) tend to find a new passion to embrace when the time comes. You will, too.

Hug your skinny.

Shel

Wt UP. Deserved. For some reason I have been grazing at night. An odd time of the day for me to eat. I will wake up, fully, just to eat. Trying to figure out why. Increased anxiety I guess.

DS#2 and DIL live in Lakeland,FL. It is between Tampa Bay and Orlando. They call themselves prepared but I don't think most people know what is getting ready to hit. The storm is 500 miles wide and FL is 160 miles wide. We want them to come home for a few days. He is a Physician's Assistant in the operating room. Recent restructuring he lost all of his vacation time.

Multiple trips back to country house lately. Regular repair work and yard maintenance. DD is planning on moving here to low rent housing. Go to school. I think she is finally trying to grow up. She is thinking about her baby and how much she wants better for her daughter. So I should be able to get the house rent ready by January maybe. But the frequent trips back home have led to frequent trips to treat ourselves with sweets. Another logical reason the wt is up.

We have really enjoyed the Airstream and the shop in the woods these past few months. It is quiet. May need to pull it to FL to do repairs to DS#2's house. Hope not!

Happy Birthday BB! My 30's were good.

More later, David

Greetings My Maintenance Friends

137.5 today. DH brought home an enormous portion of a chili cheeseburger yesterday from lunch. The leftovers made dinner for both of us and there is still some left. Just the thought of those restaurant portions make me gag.

Paula I was sorry to hear about the feed tube issues. Hopefully it will heal and they can get it out of there.

Happy birthday BB. Enjoy the day. Mine is in a week but I am 36 years older than you.

Liz sorry the hurricane is heading for your place. Here's to hoping you are somehow spared and the storm is not as bad as predicted. I really fear for everyone in the state - especially those who decided not to evacuate. Looks like some of the Caribbean islands were really blasted and its so sad.

We are going to see Wonder Woman later today. A belated birthday celebration for DH. I ordered him new pants from Land's End. He wears stuff until its full of holes!

Shel I hope you get the rain you want. We had a little but I don't think it got to the inland fires much.

Our football team plays Oregon today and it will be brutal. Meanwhile, need to shop for fresh veggies to keep up that habit. Frequent shopping required.

Sleepy Saturday. Dogs and DH are all snoring. I slept in too. Peace. Diane S.

143.6. Eating only okay, exercise has sucked.

DS#1 is having friends over for a pre Rocky Horror Picture Show party. They will all get made up and into costume for the show. DS made some thigh high denim boots and a little denim bra as part of his outfit.

I've been preparing Mexican party food all day for the kids. I enjoy entertaining so it hasn't been a bother at all. Tacos, refried beans, chips, salsa, guac, nacho cheese sauce, virgin Margaritas and a fried ice cream dessert!

As many of you have seen on Caring Bridge, Ben is having problems with his feeding tube. Lots of drainage continues but he is having less pain which is good. Watching it like a hawk!

Diane S, so sorry to hear about the passing of Liza. Always so hard when we lose our furbabies!
