Greetings All
Its a sad day at our house. We had to take our sweet old dog Liza in for the last time. She was already in shock and is was peaceful. We will miss the old girl. DH is bawling like a baby and couldn't stand to watch the procedure. She was no longer able to keep food down and could barely walk. She almost seemed grateful. She had a long and healthy life until these past few months.
And its DH birthday. we decided to skip our plans and just pretend his birthday is another day.
My friend has a newly born litter of border terriers. Maybe Liza's spirit will inhabit one of them.
Diane
Diane, I am very sorry for your loss. Liza was loved, I am sure she knew it, too. Take care,

I just caught BBs reference to Liza and came here to read this. I am so sorry that your Liza is gone, but it sounds like it was peaceful for her (harder for you and DH than her). You have such great memories of her.
