I'm baaack! ;) Like the Dianes said, checking in here is a good part of my day, and I missed it while our house guests were here. They left very early this morning. It was a wonderful visit, but as hubby and I say when all guests leave, "Home alone!"
Boy, did I enjoy my home cooking while they were here! Today we'll have some good leftovers. Weight is up, but doesn't bother me at all, given that I'd dropped to an all-time low before they arrived. Good news is I'm now back to eating at my historic maintenance caloric levels.
Tomorrow I will drive to St. Louis and then fly to North Freakin' Dakota for a weekend wedding. I hope hubby can survive without me. LOL!
Weather's glorious here -- fall is in the air. September and October are one of my favorite times of the year.
I really feel for y'all whose children continue to struggle and you're having to do the necessary, tough things. Big hugs of support to each of you.

Good morning!
The sky is still brown and ash is still collecting. We are hopeful that the winds will shift tonight. My district is back to school today, recess will probably be indoors.....poor teachers.
In more positive news, morning yoga was particularly good, A new instructor has taken over which always makes me nervous but there was no need to worry. It was a well crafted class with some extra comfort measures here and there which were really nice. I seem to need a guided class to get the full yoga experience. Left to my own devices, I wrench the dickens from my joints while I listen to the latest you tube offerings from late night tv. I enjoy that, but definitely not the same experience!
Eating has been ok. Not stupendous, but aok which is fine with me. My Monday vege soup/stew turned out pretty good and I am having no trouble making a daily vege quota with it in the fridge.
Make it a great day!

No weight this morning, rushing around to get to work on time. My hours have been switched back to 9-5 because they are "running a business" and I "cannot come and go" as I please ...
As punishment for my failure to weigh, I weighed myself on the office scale which was left here when our Weigh****chers leader gave up on us years ago. 210.6 oooofah! I will definitely weigh myself at home tomorrow morning because I cannot live with that number right now! I don't think it is real or deserved, but there it is.
At least I expect that number will keep me on track at tonight's buffet dinner. Buffet, smh. I will be super distracted from food because the buffet is at Antiques Roadshow! Who cares about food at a treasure hunt!
Weight 117, calories 1047. In the office today and tomorrow.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

New work schedule, completely new math curriculum and removal of our Language Arts curriculum (with only a "methodology" replacement) all in one year is not making this school year beginning smooth or anxiety free. I am feeling like there is simply not enough school time to prepare the daily math, let alone anything else for the day.
The Reader/Writing workshop the district has adopted is written by a woman who takes verbosity to a whole new level. She is the prime example of why I did not read for pleasure for about 10 years beginning in Jr. High. Text book and instructional reading can be dry at best sometimes. Dragging it out for 5000 words when it could be said in 500 drives me nuts! And people wonder why teachers flock to the staff room for cookies and doughnuts. Jeezus!
Yup, frustrated me today. I think I need to go into curriculum design! LOL! (I'd be bored out of my mind!!!!)
Ella's pups are 7 weeks old today. They will start going to their new homes all too soon, but I will be happy to have less poop to deal with.
I need a sugar/carb detox. Damn it! Oh, well.... not the first time and it certainly won't be the last.....
It sounded like the process of vetting new homes was involved and that is a lot of puppies! Is that process complete? Are you keeping any?

Process of vetting new homes is complete. Yes, it is time consuming and sometimes involves multiple interviews. Yes, I am keeping 2 with me and farming another out to some dear friends who want a little girl to breed to their male. I will co own her and show her, along with Indigo and the pup I keep from Ella's litter (TBD - though I'm pretty sure I know EXACTLY who I'm keeping from that litter!)
So glad you are keeping some of those adorable pups!

Okay... I think I have uploaded two photos ! The morning routine is still evolving, but Buddha and the rising sun are key players.
So, the weather is really cool, and I felt I needed another pair of casual long pants. My immediate thought was a pair of comfy sweatpants. Right away, my new skinny voice reminded me that's the old me... the hide the winter insulation fat lady thinking. Sweatpants are a perfect excuse for not being mindful... no automatic reminders of creeping gain. No more sweatpants for me!
Devon... I feel your pain.
Positive thoughts for our south east !!
