Greetings Amicable Ones
136 today due to dinner of shrimp and tomatoes. Joey you inspired me to stop at the farmers market and get some good ones! Our climate is so cool here you can't grow tomatoes without a greenhouse. Every so often a friend and I get a couple of lugs and can them.
BB, sorry stepson is such a jerk. Deep down he probably feels like a failure and that causes his resentment. Its so hard for young people today to find a niche in the world. But that doesn't make it any easier for you. Glad step daughter is interested in baby progress.
LOL, avoid opioid addiction in NH indeed! Like that would ever happen. Cape Cod must be wonderful. No need for opioids.
Joey keep up with the tomatoes. People sometimes share garden excess at our studio. If its on the main table its up for grabs. Usually its a 10 pound zucchini.
Paula glad Ben is doing so well and that must be a load off your mind. All that insurance uncertainly can stress you out so much. Good energy is healing.
I smelled a little smoke here yesterday but it might have been from barbecue at the farmers market. I hope Carbon and Shel and anyone else affected get some relief from that.
The naked lady lilies are blooming which signals the end of summer. But the trees are not turning yet so there is still more of this good season left.
Take care all. Diane S
Weight within my range, but on the highest side I can live with. I guess I, too, need to click back in. I'm pleased I have this two pound range thing stuck in my mind. seems to hlep me stay a little more focused on what I eat when the scale shows I'm at the top of that 2 pound range.
We have become the house of doggie diarrhea! Booooooooooo! Two mamas have had diarrhea on and off since whelping. Blue with her gut of steel is a-okay! However, because all the pups nursed from Ella (except little Indigo Blue) they seem to have developed runny poop, too. It's probably ****idiosis. Damn little protozoa!!!! treating everyone - both damns and 17 pups for ****idiosis and worms. Treating Ella and Lovey for ****idiosis and intestinal inflammation and distress. Ella literally looks like a street dog she is so thin. You can feel her spine and ribs and she looks about as wide as a brick! It is killing me, but she is being picky and the diarrhea and nursing is sucking all the nutrition and calories from her body. Luckily, she appears to feel fine and her temperature is normal. I wish she could talk to me!!!! If there is no improvement by Monday something has to be done!
Today is my unofficial last day of summer. Another big booooooo! Have to reconcile my feelings of lack of productivity these last weeks with my attention to the pups and the moms and.... I need to be more forgiving about not getting some of my projects done this summer.
Dropped the Frenchie off at the repro vet this morning to have dead fetus removed and have her spayed. Took some straight talking with all the owners, but got them to agree that the little dog just is not suited to be a breeding ***** and to let her simply be a loved pet. Will pick her up tonight and she will stay with me for the weekend. Then, hopefully, she'll be doing well enough to return home to her human.
After trip to the vet I trimmed two dogs, came inside have attempted to get Ella to eat. No luck. Cleaned puppy pens, fixed a little lunch and now have a few things to do around the house. This afternoon I will go to the gym for a training session, stop at the chiropractor, pick the dog up at the vet, then come home and feed the big dogs before figuring out our dinner. Yes, this is a typical day for me lately. And I feel absolutely guilty when I take down time during the day because I'm not being productive. I think about people like Joey and how packed her days are and I think I should be able to do all that, too! But I suppose we do what we HAVE to do. Insulating my work shed and repairing dry wall by the kitchen/garage door really aren't that important in the greater scheme of things, right? Like our office (3rd bedroom) has not had baseboards for 5 years. You'd think I would get something that easy and simple out of the way and done.... I need to channel David!!!!!!
Was thinking of Linda the day before yesterday. Just to let you know, my friend, this litter of puppies has not yet added a single pound to my person! I'm feeling pretty good about that! Intending to keep up that trend!
Hope everyone has a nice weekend!!!!

I was going to suggest that you read over what you wrote to see just how much stuff you are doing! When you're stuck in a tornado, you don't have a choice, you just do. However, given options like tonight when my son is out with his friends, I plan to curl up with my dogs and watch NCIS re-runs on Netflix!!! Hashtag No Guilt

Hey Devon, I'm sure you know this but it sounds like time for the rice and chicken diet for your dogs. Our old one has digestive issues so she gets rice, pumpkin and a little chicken and kibble. We found that when Tesla didn't want to eat that a bit of fish oil on her food was super attractive to her,. Ella is Lady Madonna ....

Poor poopy pups! I hope all improves over the next few days. I couldn't keep up with everything you've got going on!
