Greetings Family People
137 today. Seems to be the day of the family.
Carbon, our moon was sort of red last night and it made me wonder its due to fires. There are none close to us but somewhere in California something is always on fire. Get some quinine water for those leg cramps! No fun. But quinine water won't do much for bears...
Liz hope the party is fun. I too like to look at fancy houses. They used to have a Christmas house tour in a village near here but I think its no more.
Shel, funny how being at your childhood home triggers food issues. But enjoy your visit. I just realized I can never go home again with both parents gone and our childhood home is to be cleaned out and put up for sale.
BB, no fun hearing something bad about grandpa. Your grandmother probably just wanted relief from this secret. It doesn't mean either of them loved you any less.
DH just got back from the eye doctor. He has an appointment about cataract surgery. He has always had terrible eyesight but is not on medicare yet.
137 today. Chicken and green beans last night. More chicken tonight. It takes us days to consume a roast chicken. Fortunately the dogs do their duty and help out.
Peace to all. Diane S

I'm late to the party today.
Well, that was certainly a food day yesterday, huh (see above). Most of it happened last night -- I was just hungry. So I ate cheese, seed crackers, and an extra turkey/cheese sandwich. It's over. I'm moving on. ;)
Yesterday was a great day in the Big City, thanks to some real therapy and some retail therapy. Here is my haul from my favorite consignment shop:
Some cotton taupe Worth New York slacks for $9
A really cute black long (but casual) skirt embroidered all over with little white beads for $9
A Black/White silk black blouse for $7.50
A Zara floral jacket that'll go great with blue jeans for $19
And finally, my greatest consignment shopping bargain ever: A formal St. John black wool knit coatdress with massive amounts of rhinestones. I'm sure when it was new it cost close to $2,000. I paid (wait for it ... WAIT FOR IT) $28. WTF?!!! This is the dress I plan to wear if I ever have dinner with Queen Elizabeth. Or Adele.
And at Macy's I stocked up on my favorite lipstick and mascara and got lots of "free goodies" (yeah, right, they're not really free, but I'm happy).
So today it's very, very easy to SMILE.

Weight is stable. Food choices SUCK! Not eating many calories, but really, they are not the best calories.
Spent so much time replying to Ann and BB's posts I don't have much time to write now. I will have to come back and edit in more. I do find it interesting how we seem to ebb and flow in a group when it comes to in depth thinking and self exploration. Gotta say this group is a great catalyst for self reflection.
Props to us all!

A little late for 3:00 snack, but what a snack it is! A co-worker got a fruit basket and was kind enough to share. I snagged a pear. It was the juiciest! I'm also eating the usual Greek yogurt, but the pear was a huge treat.
I realized something the other day when my son was struggling to get something from the bottom drawer of the refrigerator. Our work refrigerator is always jam packed with stuff. I come in later than everybody else, but my drawer is always empty Monday morning so I can fit my weekly supplies... because it's the bottom drawer.
