It has been a while since I started a post. Wt 219

Watermelon gain was trending back down but someone brought one into the pharmacy and I ate some. Twice.

Saturday I mowed for 8 hours straight at our house close to town. DD is not keeping the yard up at all. I do understand that pregnancy drains all the yard mowing energy. Just wished I had checked on it sooner. Had to mow with the mower deck on the highest setting and sometimes only mow half mower strips. Let the grass dry while I was mowing other parts then re mow on a lower setting. I was beat at the end of the day and driving 1 1/2 hours back home in the dark was not fun. Enough whining. I will plan a work day there to keep up with it.

Trimming the wood work at the pharmacy and should paint some today and maybe wind things up there tomorrow or the next day. It is kinda fun working with DS#1. Also trimming out the little rooms in the shop in the woods.

Our old boxer has started over drinking his water. He walks around and spits up a puddle and then goes back to drink some more. He has also started wetting his bed at night. Need to get his sugars checked out. It is hard to watch them grow old.

Sounds like everything is going great for all.

Seek Peace Do Good, David

Wow! David is up bright and early. Today was a catch up on sleep day for me. Didn't roll out of bed until after 8! I needed it!

Weight up a pound. Haircut and housecleaning on the agenda for today. Gotta get those boys to pick up some of their crap too.

Making homemade sushi for the boys and me for dinner. A bit of work but should be fun. Then will need to pack back up again so I can return to the hospital (4 hours away) after I work a half day tomorrow!

Happy first day of fall...errr...I mean August!

God has answered my prayers and sent a brief reprieve from triple digits! I awakened to a glorious, soaking rain, and the high today is 79!!! EEeeee!! So to celebrate I dressed in golds and browns, am having apple oatmeal for breakfast, chili in the crockpot for dinner, and burberry perfume. I'm a fall-o-holic.

Weight: 158.6. I'm feeling a little more at ease with my weight right now. I feel less starving, a little more like the news is sinking in and it's not new exciting let's eat something. My weight hasn't really been increasing in the past couple weeks. I really think my body is very sensitive to water weight/hormonal weight gain. So I think as soon as my body learned it was pregnant it decided not to drop that few lb. fluctuation. Plus some things aren't sounding good. My husband and I went to Chili's for dinner last night. I ordered chicken fajitas, thinking that sounded good and also somewhat healthy. Nope. It smelled gross and one bite of the rice told me it wasn't a good idea for me to eat it. I felt bad :( But I brought the leftovers in hopes that I can do it for lunch today. But pho is sounding really good on this soaking day!

David-pregnancy definitely drains! I'm not terribly energetic as it is, but I've definitely noticed a difference now. I can take a nap mid-day, and I've never been a napper.

BB, have you been given a due date for bebe yet? How good that you're feeling more comfy about everything.

Somewhere in mid-March. My doctor is going to keep EDD at March 9, while ultrasound put it at March 14. And I think baby will surprise us all

My DS birthday is March 10 and mine is March 16, so your little one will be right around ours. I was very young when pregnant (only gave birth to my oldest, the others through adoption), so I didn't weigh. But it did seem like there were some changes in my breasts and body right away that then settled down for a bit until the baby was growing faster. I bet that initial gain was due to your necessary body changes at the beginning. It sounds like you are doing well. So exciting!

Aaah the pregnancy nose. I could smell peanut butter from around the block, which is not good. I hate peanut butter. Years ago, I worked with a woman who politely asked me not to bring a tuna sandwich for lunch during her pregnancy because the smell made her sick. I was very glad she told me.

Good morning

thanks for the clarification of Ben's surgery. Diane!!!! Great new scrabble word and great score!

We are having a heat spell here which is very unusual, up to 31C. Sorry don't know what that is in F. The big concern is forest fire. We have one road in and out and if that gets blocked.......hmmmmmm. However we are right by the ocean so like lemmings to the sea we will scurry down and hope that there are enough boats to take us all.

Interesting times.

you are all so busy and here I sit reading, walking and gardening. Even work is peaceful.

happy August!

Boy, do I feel great after sleeping 9 hours in a night. I finished my consulting report yesterday morning and "turned in my homework." The immediate relaxation results were amazing. It's been surprising to observe for the last few months what just one consulting gig did to my blood pressure and sleeping patterns. And to think that I used to have at least half a dozen of those suckers happening at the same time. Wow! No wonder I found it challenging to devote any energy to my own self-care. Yes, for decades I loved all that excitement and stress when I was doing it full-time. But now I'm interested in living a different kind of life. To everything there is a season, eh?

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time to every purpose, under heaven

This week's theme: Takin' care of me again.

So do you think you will turn down future consulting opportunities? They have asked me if I would consider consulting and I said it would depend on the time and location commitment.
